Parvati too had never quite reconciled with the idea of being a housewife in her youth. She had spouted notions of being a Healer ever since the twins were small, having both Father and Mother encourage them in academics and achievement. Their family was traditional, but they wanted their children to succeed. Yet, regardless, Parvati had always dreamed of a white wedding, of a handsome husband and of lots of little chubby babies. It was in her family life that she would seek complete fulfillment, not in a career.
"I...I did want to." Parvati sighed, moving back so she could curl up under her quilt. "Just, I mean. You know, I do hate the long hours and more than Healing I want to marry Draco."
She rubbed her hands over her eyes, "It's more what Draco wants, yes, but it's not like he's mean about it. He has good reasons, part tradition and part that he wants me to be relaxed and happy all the time. He's my husband, Padma, I have to listen to him. We're purebloods, this is what we do. I....I'm alright with it. I don't like the idea of letting my education go to waste, nor do I like that because of who I'm marrying I have to act like a submissive little wife in public, but we make sacrifices for love. And I love him, very much."
"I'm sorry to let you down, I know this isn't what you would necessarily choose."
