Their differing opinions on what constituted a full life was fairly obvious to most who knew the twins. The idea that Padma could get married and not continue to work was shocking to her and quite foreign now that she'd been in the work world for the past four years. It filkled her days and she was doing something meaningful, which is more than she could have expected from life in the first place. Her mother hadn't worked, staying home with them, but even as a child Padma couldn't see herself being her mother, relating more to her father in terms of what she wanted to do with her life. She wanted a job where she worked hard and earned respect of others for what she did.
She swallowed against the lump in her throat, realising she had hurt her sister's feelings. "No, that's not what I meant..." She sighed, defeated as she drew circles in the comforter with her finger. "I know it's a lot of work but...I mean...didn't you want to go into Healing? I thought that's what you wanted."
Blowing a strand of hair out of her face, Padma was silent again for a few long moments. "So...it's really what you want?" She questioned, a harder note to her voice, suspicious that Draco would have talked her sister into it regardless of what Parvati wanted. Of course, she knew better than to think like that-- Parvati was strong on her own and could have stood against it if it's what she wanted. "I mean...it's really what you want?" The tone softened this time as she repeated the question.
