Her expression was just changing into confusion as Draco moved into her push when his statement roared through the still air. She jumped, frightened, eyes widening, her breath catching in her throat.
"W-what?" Parvati's voice was trembling, suddenly unable to get away from him. She was captured in his intensity, lost once more in the fierce, licking flames of their love.
And like true misery, her feelings bubbled to her throat, "SO?! SO WHAT?! Does that make you feel good, Draco?! So hilarious isn't it? I NEVER loved anyone like I LOVED YOU - ISN'T THAT A LAUGH AND A HALF?! Are you proud? I loved you so much, what a FOOL! And what did I get from it, huh?! NOTHING. I was barely more than a hobby to you! You put up with it, but when it got too distasteful you walked away."
"Jacob wants to MARRY me, Draco! He actually doesn't want to shrivel and die to think of a life with me! He doesn't think I'm some sort of idiot girlfriend. He doesn't block me out whenever there is a problem in his life. He LOVES me! That might be really confusing for you to figure out, seeing as I had to practically twist those words from your mouth, but it's TRUE."
"Go away now," She ordered, tears falling from her eyes like tiny little droplets; their own rain underneath the umbrella, "You have your ego boost for the night. You can rest easy now, don't worry about me being too happy."
