Loving Spencer, to Megan, had been stupid. It still was, and she couldn't understand for the life of her why she couldn't just convince herself of that. "People get married young all the time, Spencer!" she shouted. "Parvati and Draco are married and happy about it, if you hadn't noticed." And she envied them for that. "And I would like to think that said something about our relationship if we had been together that long before our thirties," she snapped.
And then, oh, then, he said it. Megan saw red. "You don't think you did anything wrong?" she echoed furiously. "You don't think you did ANYTHING wrong?" Definitely not the time for Gryffindor stubbornness, Spencer.
"Remember when you showed up on my doorstep with a giant bouquet of tulips?" Her smile widened slightly as her fingertips lifted to idly draw patterns on his arm. "It was right after I opened the shop, and I was a complete mess." She chuckled softly. "But you forced me to relax. You've always been good at that, you know."
