"You asked me to marry me without bloody well thinking about what you were doing! It was RASH, Spencer!" she retorted, voice rising. "And we weren't that young. We could have had a long engagement! You couldn't even handle that!" She wondered if the words she was saying stung him as much as they did her. "I was so in love with you- like an idiot. I wasn't afraid of marrying you because I thought we'd be together forever! Most people don't cringe at the thought after three years!"
"Mmm?" Megan groggily forced her eyes open to face a slightly flushed Spencer Capper. His hand on her cheek felt nice and she offered him a small smile. "It was a nice dream," she offered as explanation, blurry gaze coming into focus as she met his eyes.
