Who: Sally Anne and Michael
What: Helping her get out of a bind!
When: Tonight!
Where: Near the pub
Rating: TBD

Sally Anne Perks was a different girl than she was a few weeks ago, literally. Of course, some people hadn’t managed to pick up on that fact yet, despite the fact that the only thing that seemed to remain the same was her physical appearance. Sally Anne was displaced, and the girl who walked inside her body was much more timid, sweet, and much, much more innocent. You could see it that evening not only the way she held herself, but in the way she dressed. Sally had a bit of trouble finding more conservative things in Sally’s closet, but she’d made do by supplementing with cardigans, like the one she had on today.

Apparently, however, the two men in front of her did not seem to grasp the differences.

“Sally Anne!” Sally looked up at the sound of her name, offering a smile to the unfamiliar faces.

“Er-“ she began, only to be interrupted again.

“Where have you been?” Sally’s lips parted, but she was cut off as the man’s arm came around her shoulders. “You never stop by anymore!” Sally shifted uncomfortably as she moved out from under the man’s arm, only to stumble into the chest of the next who lingered uncomfortably close.

“I’m sorry,” she said quickly. “I’m not who you think I am.”

“Nah, you’re Sally Anne! I’d recognize you anywhere!” He reached for her waist, but she quickly backed away, earning a frown.

“No, I mean, yes, I am Sally Anne, but-“

“So where are you going then?” The first man grabbed her hand. “Have a drink with us!”

“I really-“ Her cheeks flushed as she spoke. “I can’t.” His other hand had somehow found its way back to her hip. "I need to go."

Michael knew how impressionable his comment was and how it made the shy girl blush. His grin perked.

"Really, now?" How interesting that his other self would not be far off from how he is now.

"Is my other self in the medical field as well?" he questioned curiously as he pulled out a bar stool for her to sit on at the bar.

"Let's see.." he pondered aloud, rapping his knuckles against the counter as he seated himself, "do you prefer sweet or sour sorts of things?"

"Oh, yes." She smiled. "I mean, it's not that you weren't charming in the other place... time... thing, but you're just moreso now." It was a little strange, telling someone about themselves, but this was what people had been doing for ages with her, wasn't it? Explaining who she was supposed to be in the world she'd entered into? "No, actually," she answered thoughtfully. "I always found that difference rather interesting. He's an accountant." How different, working with money and people.

"Oh, sweet things." Shocker of the year, right? "Or, you know, both." She tried to hide her surprise that there were such things as sweet drinks.

Michael listened to Sally Ann with an open ear, but as soon as she mentioned accountant, a considerable crease of his brow became quite noticeable.

"Accountant, huh?" Interesting," he commented, brushing the tip of his chin with his fingers thoughtfully. An accountant is what his dad had wanted him to become.

Michael continued to rub his chin as he thought of a suitable drink for the moderated Sally Ann, "Hmm, all right then."

He gestured towards the barkeep and ordered his pint of beer, "And for the lady, could I get a Strawberry punch, please?" The brunette thanked him as he nodded and went off to rustle their drinks up.

Sally Anne hesitated at his reaction. "I mean, you seemed pretty happy with it." She added quickly. "People are just... different from where I'm from."

She watched him curiously as he ordered for her, a pretty pink drink that had her grinning when it appeared. "Oh wow." She hesitantly twirled her straw in it. "It smells fruity." She paused for a moment, before taking a sip. "It's good!" Was there alcohol in it? Maybe a little. She couldn't tell!

Michael chuckled, "Well, of course, the differences aren't that shocking. I was pretty close to becoming an accountant myself," he admitted.

"You like it, then?" he asked, observing her wide-eyed expression of shock. Rum in a drink wasn't as strong as other liquors when mixed properly. He pulled his beer contently closer and took a big satisfying gulp.
