The Challenge
The Challenge is simple. In downtime from the Vas Captio game, use the characters within it and write 50,000 words of Vas-verse crossovery goodness. Fics can be set during Vas Captio, before Vas Captio (assuming the character has been sent back in time once freed), or after Vas Captio. They can be any length, any characters (including characters that are not your own, as long as one of your characters is also in the fic). You can use our prompts, or use your own. Relationships in game canon are only relevant if you want it to be.
There are only three rules:
1. The fics center around Vas Captio characters (current, future, or past) and they must still be familiar with Vas, whether they're still there or have been sent back to their time line (either their past, present, or future).
2. You may not nitpick at other writers' attempts at your characters. They will not pick apart yours. Please offer concrit only when the writer asks for it.
3. Have fun!
Already doing a real NaNoWriMo project? That's okay! You don't have to take the challenge to use our prompts and/or share your work!
What types of fics are we looking for?
1. Missing scenes in Vas while characters are still confined. This includes experiments that never actually happened but maybe you'd have liked to see (and maybe would still like to see, if the mods find them interesting or do-able enough).
2. Characters meeting up with one another in the outside world once released.
3. Stand alone solo (eg. your character on his/her own reflecting on current Vas events or their past experience after being released)
4. AU - Vas characters meeting up with characters who've never been in Vas, or trying to explain Vas to characters in their own fandom who haven't been there.
5. Five Things style fics (Five Things That Never Happened To...; Five Times..., etc.)
We're also looking for anything else you can come up with - let the creativity flow :) We're excited to see what else you guys can come up with!
