Andy Gallagher is not the droid you're looking for ([info]brain_ninja) wrote in [info]vas_captio_rpg,
Elliot looked down and Andy followed suit, bowing his head slightly as he did so. Maybe he should've lied and said something a little more hopeful. Maybe he should've at least tried to soften the blow of the words. Somehow, though, he couldn't make himself lie to her, even if he sort of wanted to.

"I'm sorry," he said quietly, brow furrowed as he looked back at her apologetically. With that, he reached over and tucked her hair behind her ear. When she put her hand on his shoulder and told him not to die on her, he nodded and smiled. "Okay. I'll hang in there, just for you," he replied, as his eyes softened even when the smile didn't right away.

Taking a deep breath, Andy let it out in a heavy sigh. "C'mon, let's get in the back; I need some sleep. You? Or at least, I need to be hidden from sight and locked away in a safe place, y'know?" he asked, nodding backward toward the back of the van.
