Experiment: Selene and The Ninth Doctor
Who: The Ninth Doctor and Selene
What: They're new and they're being experimented on. Think of it as a welcome to the wilderness moment
Where: Undisclosed location
When: 8:00AM
Rating: PG-13

Good morning, new arrivals!

The Ninth Doctor and Selene will awaken in an extraordinarily well lit room. However, your character and their fellow subject will not be able to see as they have been stricken blind. After 10 minutes a slow sing-song voice starts very quietly repeating "See no evil." "You can't see me." "Can you feel me?" The Doctor and Selene will immediately start feeling gentle brushes of wind around their face and any exposed skin. They will not be able to catch the responsible party.

Additional information about this experiment to be provided as play progresses.

When the heat died down, the Doctor let out a slow breath and the smile on his face returned, though briefly. "See? Heat source all taken care of. Nothing to worry about." He assured. "But I think we'd be best served to stay as we are for now, instead of getting up and moving around." Just in case anything strange started happening again. The Time Lord was displeased. Whoever had taken him away from his TARDIS, from his regeneration, was very powerful indeed. To stick him in a box like this, to take his sight? Very displeased.

However, as soon as they'd gotten resettled again, those hands were grabbing hold of him and he immediately reached out for Selene, able to grab hold of her forearm as they were pulled apart. "Hold onto me, Selene!" The Time Lord insisted sharply, as the two forces tried to tug them apart -- but it was no use, his grip was slipping, moving from her forearm to her wrist, then into her hand as they each held onto one another. Eventually, the force became too much and his grip slipped free, allowing whatever it was to haul him away. He could hear Selene being dragged in the opposite direction and the great and powerful Time Lord was able to do nothing to stop it.

"Who are you?" This time it was demanded, but the Doctor wasn't panicking. Not yet. Though they'd been treated like this, tugged and taunted and splattered with blood, pushed at a fire and torn apart, they hadn't actually been harmed yet. Not yet. "Whatever you want from us, there's other ways to get it." It was his warning to heed his suggestion, whoever you are. The Time Lord (this Time Lord, anyway) didn't give second chances easily. And they weren't to be taken lightly when he did.

Selene was too busy trying to shove the bloodlust back down to hear him, though after a moment she absently noted it felt less warm. A good thing, too, considering the way black leather retained heat. Her eyes were still closed and hand near her face as she rolled the taste around on her tongue. No memories came to her mind, no flashes of images or events or even a hint at what kind of creature (she assumed mortal) it came from. Definitely not fresh blood.

Her eyes flew open when the strength of the blood scent surged and her hair was grabbed, letting out a surprised noise. She reached out for the Doctor the same time he reached for her but it was no use. Something that deeply unsettled the vampire given her strength. Whatever this was couldn't be human, there was no way. Selene tried to wrestle away from the grip, letting out a rather feral snarl as both hands reached up for the one holding her, trying to break free or at least break bones as her feet tried to gain purchase against the floor, against anything that might stop her movement.

"Enough of this!" The Doctor called out into the darkness around him-- though really, it was only his own eyes creating that darkness. But he didn't want to think about that right now. He was being hauled further from Selene and he stretched an arm out again to reach for her, but he knew it would be fruitless. It was useless. She was out of his range and whatever it was that was taking him, was also taking her. He could hear her boots scraping against the ground, the snarling. What sort of creature was she? Humans could never muster up such a surge of animalistic tones.

"It's alright, Selene, it's going to be alright!" He called out across the room to her again, grunting with the effort it was taking him to struggle against that ominous grasp.

Panic was being replaced by fury. Like the kind of fury she felt when she was up against half a dozen lycans and her team was in shambles. She wasn't even thinking about her vision anymore, her other senses more than making up for its loss. Her hands scrambled for a grasp of their own against whatever was pulling her, nails trying to dig into fabric or flesh and do whatever damage was possible, and the sound of the Doctor's voice becoming further away only caused her to fight harder. They were being separated for a reason, but what? Regardless, the vampire would not go down without a fight.
