Experiment: Selene and The Ninth Doctor
Who: The Ninth Doctor and Selene
What: They're new and they're being experimented on. Think of it as a welcome to the wilderness moment
Where: Undisclosed location
When: 8:00AM
Rating: PG-13

Good morning, new arrivals!

The Ninth Doctor and Selene will awaken in an extraordinarily well lit room. However, your character and their fellow subject will not be able to see as they have been stricken blind. After 10 minutes a slow sing-song voice starts very quietly repeating "See no evil." "You can't see me." "Can you feel me?" The Doctor and Selene will immediately start feeling gentle brushes of wind around their face and any exposed skin. They will not be able to catch the responsible party.

Additional information about this experiment to be provided as play progresses.

Not the beating of just one heart. She only had one person in the room with her, one voice, one smell. Two hearts. Two beating, thrumping, pumping hearts. Two hearts, just one Doctor. He turned when he heard that other voice. Clearly not Rose. Not Rose at all. And he was still.. well.. himself. Something was very wrong here. His hands immediately pushed into the bigger-on-the-inside pockets of his leather coat.. but he came up empty. No wires. No toys. No coins. No blue boxes or red canisters or yellow loopty-doos that needed a special brand of his jiggery pokery. Nothing. They were empty. And Rose was gone.

"The Doctor." He finally responded, turning his body towards the sound of the other voice. "Who are you?" Prompted in return. His voice actually had a smile to it, you could just hear the smile oozing out, with that British accent (Norther, mind you, but not from the North. Not this North. Lots of planets had a North) ticking at the sides of his words.

Why was it so dark? He wished he had his screwdriver -- or that flash light he had. Anything. Anything to see into the darkness and identify the person he was now speaking with. It wasn't any voice he had ever heard before.. but soon, those other voices came, sweet sing-song whispers, and the brushes of wind, the touches of the breeze against his face, his hands. His neck. But he wasn't outside, the ground was solid beneath his feet. They were definitely in some sort of room.

This wasn't good. Not at all.

The vampire noted his use of 'the' rather than 'a' and wondered about that. Or she would have, if there weren't more pressing matters. But at least he didn't sound menacing or have the growly tone of a lycan. Perhaps he was simply mortal. Even if she couldn't see it made him much less of a threat. "Selene." she replied crisply, and would have continued her inquiry if the sing-song voice hadn't started.

What may have been whispers to human ears were much louder to hers, louder even than she was used to, and there was the fleeting childish urge to cover her ears. It hadn't yet been twenty-four hours since she drank the blood of the oldest of them all and hadn't even begun to adjust to the effects. "What the..." One hand swatted when the breeze brushed her face, head jerking back instinctively. This was no natural wind. It couldn't be, not when she knew without a doubt she wasn't outdoors. The vampire didn't need sight for that. "Are you doing this?" The edge in her voice didn't betray the fear creeping up in the back of her mind, and she again searched her pockets, hoping in vain she simply hadn't reached in the right one. She'd feel so much better with a gun in her hand.
