Day 14: Early Evening
Who: Jenny Schecter & OTA
What: Jenny's wandering
Where: On the road outside the gas station
When: Day 14: 5pm
Rating: PGish at the moment
Status: Active

Jenny was humming softly to herself as she walked. Well it was more like a saunter, her movements slow and aimless. After the morning of insane laughter and a concentrated effort to steer clear of anyone she might want to have sex with, she was grateful to feel normal again. Except it felt, to her, like the day was dragging now that everything had settled down and she would have been happy to bump into someone, anyone really. She needed company but she wasn't going to whine about it in the journals. She'd done enough whining since getting here. She'd done a lot of things she wasn't proud of since being thrown into the glass bubble.

She'd walked in circles for a better part of the morning and afternoon. Now she was passing the gas station and she gave it a sad glance as she continued on. Poor Bob had died there. How many others had died in this place? Seemed like so many now. She wondered how everyone was really handling it all but there was no way to gage from the way most of them seemed so guarded even when they journaled.

Sighing, Jenny stopped wandering and flopped onto the grass beside the road. Perhaps she should be writing but she just couldn't bring herself out of the perverse ennui she was stuck in right now. Tiny yellow buttercups had sprung up in the nice weather and she combed her fingers through them, looking up at the sky.

"Oh, sorry," he said, the southern edges of his drawl hanging at the tail end of his words. The physician spoke slowly, extending a hand. "Leonard McCoy," he introduced himself.

"Far beyond your time?" McCoy's head canted a bit trying to make sense of what she'd just said. "I'm sorry, but that doesn't make one bit of sense. Mind explaining it to me?" Because from where McCoy was sitting, nothing was from beyond his time at all.

He took up a spot a bit of a ways off, squinting at the gas pumps. "Petroleum based products..." He mused, shaking his head. "You alright?" Sure, Bones was a little scatterbrained, he couldn't help it. He'd spent most of the past 8 hours under the influence of some sort of drug. The annoying influence.
