"I'm doing with Mac n' Cheese. I haven't been able to drink coffee since I OD'd during a rotation in the pit three weeks ago." Lexie shuddered a little, a headache threatening a the border of her forehead and scalp at the mere thought of drinking coffee again.
She watched as Elliot got a little more thoughtful, her own brain sort of turning to thoughts back at Seattle Grace. What was life like back in the pit right now? Had anyone noticed she hadn't come out of the Observation Lounge? Did they care?
"Yeah, they do," she smiled. People here did seem OK. They seemed real, too. Sure, there were some odd ones, but mostly they seemed just like anyone she might meet back home.
Girl talk. It had shifted to girl talk. "I know, right?" She asked in response to the question about the good looking ones. "Every single last one of them, good looking. It's like eye-candy. Maybe this disaster of a place thinks we'll be more OK with it if we have pretty things to stare at?"
