Day 13: 11AM, Woods near the Gym
Who: Lexie Grey, Dean Winchester, OTA
When: Day 13, 8AM
Where: The Forest near the gym
Rating: TBD

Status: Complete

Rolling over on her cot Lexie reflexively tugged up the top of her blanket expecting to feel the breeze on her face at any moment courtesy of the fractured ceiling. She also expected the feeling of the sunshine beating on the backs of her eyelids or the feeling of dew on the exposed bit of canvas beneath her bare feet. Hell, she'd really been ready to feel the twinge in her shoulder as her body weight moved and manipulated the seperation between tendons and bones. No pain came. Lexie's eyes snapped open, half expecting to find herself locked up some place, or without an arm, or without any light at all. Instead, she was in the gym. A gym that was quiet and dark and whole The sun hadn't been up for long at all; and it looked like everyone else was still quite asleep. But, they were all there.

Lexie rolled her shoulder, playing with her range of motion. She could hardly keep quiet as she pulled off the sling and threw it on the floor. She wanted to burn the damned thing. She wanted to burn the whole damned place down! With bare feet she hurried between the rows of cots, down the hallway that was so very familiar and arrived at her room. Her un mistakable room. Dean's flowers were still sitting on the window sill, the cot with the extra padding of cushions was still quite right with the shelves as they should have been, too. Lexie actually gasped. It was all, alright. She knew she hadn't have dreamed all of that; but, yet it all seemed surreal with everything put back in it's place.

Running at full speed back to her cot she pulled on her sneakers. She wouldn't be spending one more minute in this gym. No, she had to get out and breathe. She had to see if everything had been restored. Everything.

Popping out the double doors she was greeted with righted trees and pristine pavement. With facades she knew so well and a serenity that only accompanied early morning. Sure, the sky was dark; but, what did it matter? Everything had been fixed. Everything was OK. She was OK. She didn't know how, but she was!

Lexie started to run, the blood on her scrubs non-existant, it being the only trace that she'd ever been injured at all. There was the pharmacy and the thrift shop. The Theater and the clock tower. Everything seemed to be back. Less than a run now, Lexie was dancing. She veered off, into the woods, coming around full circle with flushed cheeks. With a thunderclap the sky opened up and raindrops thick and heavy started to pelt her. Lexie stopped, looking up at the sky, laughing.

"Is that it?! A thunderstorm?" She taunted. There was laughter in her voice, genuine, real laughter.

The best part of this game, even as it slid from child-like amusement into a more adult version, was that there were no awkward silences. They didn't miss a beat and Lexie held her own and then some. Unconsciously he really enjoyed the rhythm they'd fallen into with their playfulness. It seemed to start unintentionally and escalate until they had both had their fill of laughing and sexual subtext. He wondered briefly, as she licked her lips, when what could be read between the lines would stop being just subtext. It was no secret, to himself at least, that he wanted her. And while she played the game, she might just like the game. Why were women such a mystery sometimes?

Had she really thought she could get the better of him again after falling on top of him like that? His ears were filling with mud as his head rested in the muck. Whatever this was, it couldn't last much longer or he'd be drowning in it. He gave her a sly look and brushed his lips across hers. It wasn't a kiss but a tease. "Mmhm you laughed. You're just as bad as I am, aren't you?"

He grinned and released her then, gently supporting her as he slid himself upward into a sitting position so that he could avoid completely submerging in the rain water collecting around them both. She was seated on his lap now but he wasn't going to hold her there if she wanted to get up. The moment of that part of the game had passed. Anything more would, in his mind, lead them somewhere even more serious that could potentially ruin the mood of lightheartedness she'd begun and they'd cultivated together.

"What are we going to do with you, Doc? What should we do with bad girls?"

He wanted to roll her into the mud and tickle her. He also wanted to kiss her. He could think of a hundred other things he would like to hear come out of her mouth as suggestion. So he zipped his lips and simply smiled at her expectantly, trying to hold her eyes as his hand sneaked its way toward her to attempt a sneak, tickle attack.

Lexie wouldn't be taking this as anything more than a game any time soon. Why? Because she'd just been kicked in the chops by both George and Karev, that's why. Well, that and she was in a situation where it seemed like fear lurked around every corner and it really wasn't appropriate to go and get into any sort of romanitic entanglements. Right? totally inappropriate. Especially with the hero. There were girls all around this place, she was certain, who had claimed him as their own Hero and that was OK. He may have been giving off all sorts of signs that he was 'interested,' but it was all so very sexual; and that was OK, too. She could hang with sexual inuendo and flirtatiousness and grappling. She just wasn't going to throw her heart into it. That would make things messy and messy was not something she was looking for.

His lips dragged across hers and in response she tapped her nose against his, managing somehow to keep her lips juuuuust out of reach again. "Maybe worse," she whispered as she felt him pushing them up in an effort to get his head out of the growing puddle. For that she couldn't fault him, she wouldn't have wanted her head in a puddle, either.

Lexie felt Deans arms let go from her sides, though, reflexively her own wrapped around his shoulders, hanging on. She was seated on his lap with her shins digging in to the mud on either side of his thighs.

Little Grey's mouth fell open mockingly at being called a 'bad girl.' It was probably the last thing anyone might call her. "Bad girl?" She asked, trying to slide a bit into the role he'd seemingly created for her. Unfortunately for Lexie, it was a little difficult, as the only witty comebacks she had sounded just a bit too dirty even for her.

The rain seemed to be letting up, the large pelting drops turning to a more light mist. Not that Lexie was paying attention. No, she was sucked in to the moment with the muddy green eyed boy she'd wrapped her arms around and who was practically begging for her to kiss him. Or, maybe it was she that was begging him to kiss her? Whatever it was, it left Lexie with a tingly feeling in the small of her back and a flip flopping stomach.

"What do they usually do with bad boys?"
