Day 13: 11AM, Woods near the Gym
Who: Lexie Grey, Dean Winchester, OTA
When: Day 13, 8AM
Where: The Forest near the gym
Rating: TBD

Status: Complete

Rolling over on her cot Lexie reflexively tugged up the top of her blanket expecting to feel the breeze on her face at any moment courtesy of the fractured ceiling. She also expected the feeling of the sunshine beating on the backs of her eyelids or the feeling of dew on the exposed bit of canvas beneath her bare feet. Hell, she'd really been ready to feel the twinge in her shoulder as her body weight moved and manipulated the seperation between tendons and bones. No pain came. Lexie's eyes snapped open, half expecting to find herself locked up some place, or without an arm, or without any light at all. Instead, she was in the gym. A gym that was quiet and dark and whole The sun hadn't been up for long at all; and it looked like everyone else was still quite asleep. But, they were all there.

Lexie rolled her shoulder, playing with her range of motion. She could hardly keep quiet as she pulled off the sling and threw it on the floor. She wanted to burn the damned thing. She wanted to burn the whole damned place down! With bare feet she hurried between the rows of cots, down the hallway that was so very familiar and arrived at her room. Her un mistakable room. Dean's flowers were still sitting on the window sill, the cot with the extra padding of cushions was still quite right with the shelves as they should have been, too. Lexie actually gasped. It was all, alright. She knew she hadn't have dreamed all of that; but, yet it all seemed surreal with everything put back in it's place.

Running at full speed back to her cot she pulled on her sneakers. She wouldn't be spending one more minute in this gym. No, she had to get out and breathe. She had to see if everything had been restored. Everything.

Popping out the double doors she was greeted with righted trees and pristine pavement. With facades she knew so well and a serenity that only accompanied early morning. Sure, the sky was dark; but, what did it matter? Everything had been fixed. Everything was OK. She was OK. She didn't know how, but she was!

Lexie started to run, the blood on her scrubs non-existant, it being the only trace that she'd ever been injured at all. There was the pharmacy and the thrift shop. The Theater and the clock tower. Everything seemed to be back. Less than a run now, Lexie was dancing. She veered off, into the woods, coming around full circle with flushed cheeks. With a thunderclap the sky opened up and raindrops thick and heavy started to pelt her. Lexie stopped, looking up at the sky, laughing.

"Is that it?! A thunderstorm?" She taunted. There was laughter in her voice, genuine, real laughter.

The comedy of Dean squirming away in the mud was almost too much, tears streaming down Lexie's cheeks as she watched him do an awkward version of the backstroke. Reflexively her hands went for her mouth, her fingertips where she'd poked him leaving a trail on her cheek and jaw.

"Listen, you can't go blaming me for your inability to put one foot in front of the other, spaceheater." She gave him a look indicating that this particular point was not up for discussion. OK, so maybe it was, but she didn't have to make it easy for him.

As he mentioned the fact that her clothing was stuck to her she gave a momentary gasp. He was right, there really wasn't much about wet scrubs that left anything to the imagination. Well, at least he didn't know what color underwear she was wearing. Pink, for the curious. "Hey!" she gawked, her arms instinctively coming around her to hide, well, everything.

She wasn't exactly nimble there, squatting beside him with her arms clinging to herself in a self-hug. So, as his hand came at her all she could really do was shift and try to turn. Arching her back to duck away Lexie found herself in the precarious position of being in mud practically on her toes. She could tell immediately that this wasn't going to end well.

"Aaa--" It was the start of a witty comment that ended with Lexie leaning too far forward for her down good, her knees coming into contact with the mud and the mess as Deans hand grabbed her shoulder and pulled her in further. Reactively, her hands went out in front of her, one impacting just over his side as she collided with his middle with an oomph. While one would think that not impacting with the ground would spare Lexie the mud, it seemed landing on Dean was just as bad, as her already slicked top served only to liquify the mud even more, smearing it onto her as well as him.

When she'd finally collected herself enough to push back and look at him there was laughter streaming from her more rapidly than the rain. "Did you really just do that?" She asked, poking his side again. "Seriously?" Poke, poke, poke.
