Day 12, morning!
Who: Ianto Jones and OTA
What: Not so good discoveries
When: Day 12, morning (round 9 ish?)
Where: Town square, by the straw dummies
Rating: PG

Status: Active

Sleeping in the barn wasn't the most comfortable thing there was, but the scent of hay and the feel of Jack nearby helped sleep find him fairly easily.  Unfortunately, it meant that he felt stiff as all get out (not the fun kind of stiff, either) and that he needed to actually move to get himself feeling rather like himself again.

Ianto murmured something to Jack with regards to what he was doing and where he was going and took himself back to town, stretching his legs in a walk.  No jogging.  He had promised.  It'd jostle his arm too much for anyone's liking, including his own.  And, frankly, Doctor House scared him.  The man was the crankiest beast Ianto had ever met and he had spent some time with Owen, after all.

Things seemed like they had calmed down a good deal, though it was still very quiet in what was left of the town.  Ianto would have given an awful lot to hear some bird song around as he walked.  But in a moment, that wish was forgotten when he stumbled up the straw men.  Like bonfire night, only with the people in town.  There was a man dressed like Logan.  There was the Doctor's suit.  There .. was a dress?  Oh good God.  And there was Jack's coat.  Well, he'd be damned in someone was going to burn Jack in effigy!

Ianto stalked over, missing the other things laying about, and proceeded to strip the Jack dummy, wrestling the coat off.  He might go after the rest of the clothes, too, since burning anyone in effigy in this place was a horrible thing at best.  He swore under his breath as he worked, wishing for two good hands.  The wool coat was heavy as hell and looked to be fairly authentic.

"Hey, hey!" That was enough, and Gambit was (unfortunately) setting down his cake and jogging over to the two women, swatting his hand as if he were scolding two dogs that were fighting.

"G'wan! Gettoff! G'wan! Stop 'dat!" He was grabbing onto the lighter woman from behind and he grunted at the pain it caused in his shoulder, but he was hauling her up and away from the other woman, disengaging their fight, and holding onto her with one strong arm wrapped around her shoulder, and the weaker arm about her waist. "S'nough! C'mon! We don' 'ttack people 'roun' here 'less we doin' it fer fun or profi'!" Scolded as he walked backwards, hauling the lighter, jumpsuited woman along with him.

Since he couldn't really break up the fight now that it had gotten serious, as much as he would have liked to, he was glad that the demon had decided to do it himself. That was good. He was doing a good job of it.

Now was time for payback.

Dean shuffled toward the cake box that had been left on its own and with delicate taps of his boot he worked the box up onto his toes. Then, bending down with a bit of a wince over the pain it sent through his ribs and elbow, he used his forearms to pick up the box from his feet. That accomplished, Dean stood up straight again and grinned over his shoulder at the three fighting over the cake still or whatever it was that was the issue now. Then, quietly, he wandered away from the fray with the box of cake in his arms. He never looked back.

GLaDOS was scooped up and she was still swinging, appendages flailing as she tried to squirm free. Subroutine disengaged as she realized that it was her favorite subject dragging her off. She wondered why. Usually the rats in the maze did not help one another. They did not know how. Was her favorite trying to help or harm her? GLaDOS wasn't quite certain.

GLaDOS, all 5'10" of her seemed to relax as she relented to being dragged away. "You shou' real' pu' me do'n, ami," her voice came out teasingly. Her eyes, however had not left Riply and the growing red mark around the female's throat.

Not to be thought worse for wear, GLaDOS had a few bruises of her own to deal with. She just wasn't too worried about them.

Ripley gasped, then rolled to her side, then onto her knees, gasping and choking and coughing as the pressure on her throat was released when Gambit hauled Glados off of her.

What the HELL was it with her and getting choked, she wondered, somewhat muzzily, as she fought to get to her feet, leaning somewhat drunkenly against one of the straw-padded poles as she continued to fight to get air back into her lungs. Shit just liked choking the hell out of her, didn't it?
