Day 11: 12:00AM
Who: The Doctor and Gambit
When: Midnnight, day 11
Where: The Tunnels beneath Vas
What: Exploring
Rating: PG~
Status: complete

The Doctor had listened intently as Gambit tried to explain the nature of what his power felt like. The Doctor could, actually, envision the warmth that Gambit described, a transference of energy - he knew that feeling well enough. Though, for him it was usually quite uncomfortable, something he wanted to get out and away with as quickly as possible. The Doctor started considering how Remy metabolized energy, how and where he stored it. It was like a puzzle for the Doctor, really and he liked knowing how things worked.

When Remy said something about being a god among insects the Doctor carefully maintained his poker face. For a moment he couldn't quite figure out what to think of that. Though, being the sort to judge based on character and actions rather than poorly chosen phrases, the Doctor took it to mean that the Cajun had an understanding of the scope and power of his abilities, and not that he actually intended to take over the world with them.

More toe wiggling, it was making the Doctor feel as if maybe his back was loosening. Just a smidge. Yes, it was loosening a smidge. The Doctor stretched, arms aiming toward the ceiling. His back was feeling better already. Less movement, less strain, no carrying people or chunks of concrete, it was easy to see how the rest had been good for his back.

"When you get back home, what are you going to do?"

"Oui." He agreed quietly, to the Doctor's statement that their lives were too short for that. But he'd leave it with that and say nothing more. Instead, he shifted on the couch and slowly removed his hand from the cushion after drawing the light out of it.

"You a wise lea'er, mon ami." It was definitely a good idea to sleep here. The sun would wake them in the morning and the Cajun wasn't concerned about it. If he slept until noon, he wouldn't miss the morning.

"Nigh', Docteur." The smooth voice of the Cajun came through the dark, before he went quiet once again. This was a good spot to rest.
