Day 10: Forest - 1:15pm
Who: OTA
What: Seven point five
When: 1:15pm - 5:00pm
Where: Forest
Rating: TBA
Status: Active

The sun was shining high in the sky and a gentle breeze stroked the leaves of the trees, making them, along with the severed stub of rope on the clock face from the day previous sway lazily. It was quiet. Perhaps it was too quiet, for the lack of birds chirping or insects buzzing.

All in all, the day was one of the most pleasant as of yet for the bulk of the involuntary residents of Vas Captio, save, of course, the heat. Maybe it was a bit too hot to be entirely comfortable.

It started small, as most things do. Leaves rustled and bushes shivered, creating a pleasant woodsy sound of wind lacing its way through the greenery. Any birds or animal stopped, sitting silent in anticipation of what is about to come. They sense it.

The ground grumbled and heaved violently then. Several large trees cracked and groaned, splitting in half and crashing to the forest floor. Other large trees simply uprooted along the path of the rumbling, falling into smaller trees and bushes. Parts of the forest floor ripped open with steaming pockets of hot air rising out of them to sear or burn anyone that happened to be nearby them. The birds shot up out of their trees, flying out across the town in huge droves. Deer and other animals ran in every direction, seeking shelter of clearings or open air.

All along the edges of the forest, the glass wall rippled. In town, if anyone happened to look up at the sky, they would see this affect as a shimmering, prismatic shiver. The sounds of destruction from all parts of Vas Captio would carry up and along the dome, sending voices and noise to other parts of the town and forests in massive cacophony and confusion. Someone in the gas station might sound as though they were at the barn and so on and so forth.

Through the entire quake, the glass wall will stand firm. It will not crack or crumble even in the minutest way. It is untouched when all goes quiet again.

Vas Captio was still, again, and silent once more.

Withdrawing her hand from Dean's shoulder, she did give one last attempt to help him stand, if only with a gentle touch at his back. Physical strength was certainly not an area she excelled in, but she understood that everyone had different benefits and drawbacks to bring to a group.

Without further acknowledgment, she took a step back and simply waited to be of some use. The uninjured of her two hands nervously summoned a golden bubble, but kept in her palm, while her expression was its normally dreamy setting. Or, at least, the closest proximity to it that was possible under the circumstances.

Looking around them, Luna once again noticed something that had caught her attention briefly before. "Where's the snow?" Certainly there had been snow on the ground before she woke up in the woods, and now it was warm and absolutely no snow in sight. It was so odd.

"Ain' no snow when I get here, Petite." The Cajun assured her with a flash of a smile, charming as he could manage, which.. well.. was pretty charming, to say the least. And he'd walk with the two, slowly and carefully, avoiding the felled trees, the cracks in the floor of the forest, and the random lips littered about the ground. It would take them a few minutes to get to the edge of the forest, thankfully the two hadn't been too far in. Not like he and the Doctor, earlier today. And once they could set their feet on the pavement and see the gym, the Cajun was making a sweeping motion towards the large structure.

"An' I'm sure 'de two of you can make it to 'de buil'in' on your own, non? Been 'dere once alrea'y to'ay, ain' got no wan' to go back." That was an understatement. He definitely didn't want to go back. Lest he be hauled in and asked to help. However, without really waiting for a response, the red-head, red-eyed American was backing away and lifting a partially gloved hand in a wave. He knew they could make it safely on their own, it was only a hundred feet off. They'd be fine.

"Don' get run over 'gain, Dean." A warning to the wise, that came with a bit of a breathy laugh and a point, before Gambit was turning and heading away from the pair, back around the bed and towards that Post Office. That was where he wanted to be.

Dean & Luna & Remy

Dean picked his way carefully through the woods alongside the other two. He was so focused on making it without tripping and falling onto his broken bones that he wasn't much for conversation. He winced as his arms flew out to his side to balance himself but at this point, now that Remy had stopped popping and snapping everything back into place, the pain was a dull aching throb. It was only with a small amount of difficulty that he could push most of it out of his mind.

When they were within sight of the gym and Remy was taking his leave, Dean was slightly surprised. If he'd been in the other guy's shoes he would have made sure the people he'd helped out made it all the way in to safety. Though he supposed, he didn't need to be babysat into the gym by another guy. He could certainly do it himself.

"Thanks, man," he said when Remy warned him not to get run over again. He was grateful to the guy for helping because he knew Luna could not have prepped him enough to get out of the forest and to the gym by herself. So he controlled his voice as he answered so that it sounded a lot more amused and thankful than he actually felt in response to the warning itself. Like he'd gotten run over because he was careless.

As the red-eyed man walked away, Dean turned his eyes to Luna. "Looks like half the building collapsed. You ready for this?" he asked with concern. He had no idea how squeamish she was and there would probably be people in there with worse injuries than his own.

Wandering beside the two men who towered over her, Luna more or less was in her own world, no reason had come to call her out of it. Which was fine, lost in her own complicated thoughts that sometimes scrambled in so many directions at once that she could not follow each along their path to an end without seeing another thought that was just as fascinating, it was how she lived a good deal of the time. Early on she had learned, when none else spoke to her, she could at least learn and think on her own.

The red haired stranger still had not given his name, a fact not left unnoticed by Luna. Still, she saw no particular want to call him back and ask him for it. Perhaps he was in hiding from his name, or it had become a Taboo word that would fling down his enemies upon him in an instant. Which was, from what Luna had heard, not completely out of the realm of possibilities.

Pulled out of her thoughts of where exactly to search for a supposedly mythical beast (a line of thought so well worn in its path that it was more of a comfort than an actual question) but Dean's comment to her, she looked up at him. A glance over to the gym showed its disastrous condition, but part of her had expected nothing less after the bits of damage she had seen here and there while searching for help. Before she had come upon...what's his name. With her eyes back on Dean, she gave him a single nod, "I am."

They had to see about the others, as well as being sure that Dean was seen to by a Healer. Luna need to know what happened to Andy. To Sam and Tonks, to Logan and the others. Perhaps there was a way she could help somehow, even if she was not sure what it was.
