The previous day had been one of the darkest of her life. In all honesty, she never wanted to live through something like that ever again. Fortunately, she didn't think she'd have to. Though things had been a little bit rotten, she did have a bit of optimism in her soul. They could only get better. And even if people did think horrible things about her, she would still do her best. She'd learned an important lesson, and it was that, even if she lost her temper, she needed to not lash out so hard. This place was stressful enough, and it could get very mean and confusing. She didn't need to be part of the problem.

It was hard for Tink not to sleep in. When she slept, it meant that she was tired. She could never just decide to go to sleep, for it didn't work like that. But, when she woke this time, it had been almost noon. Feeling pretty good, she stretched and looked around. The barn wasn't all that bad. Sure, there were rats that were as big as, if not bigger than, she was, but there were worse things. She had managed to hide in a bucket that was hanging from a post, and that was good fortune.

When she flew down from the rafters, she was a ball of white light. She was feeling completely neutral, and leaning more towards happy. It seemed far more tropical today, and she liked hot weather. The only problem was the growl that her stomach gave out. Was there any food around here? She didn't need much, but she couldn't remember seeing any. Flying out of the barn, she began hovering around it, looking towards the woods. Were there even any fruit trees in the forest? So set on her task was she that she didn't seem to notice anything else.

Amaterasu had been wandering around the small town since she had finished her chat with Logan and the fruit she carried along with her. She was learning about the people and animals here; but kept her distance for the most part. Keeping to herself was fairly easy, although she was very grateful for the companionship (and praise) the occasional mouse or bird provided.

She came across a huge . . . thing, for the lack of a better word, and though curiosity sprang up, the Goddess was about to pass it up for much more rewarding endeavors, when a white light flashed out of the building in a blur. Excited, she followed the pretty white light, and when it stopped, she asked, "Are you, perchance, a Poncle?" While keeping a respectful distance.

Tink had not heard the woman coming, and that bothered her. So small was she that everything sounded incredibly loud, so for her to be snuck up upon by a fully grown woman was a little disgraceful. Her glow faded to a skeptical white, allowing Amaterasu to better see the body in the center of the five inch sphere. She was pale and lovely, her transparent wings glittering in the light.

"Oh!" she exclaimed, flying away a little bit. She ducked behind a rain barrel. Peeking up over the edge, she studied the woman, more curious than afraid. The woman looked like Watanuki and Domeki in some way, but she'd never seen an Asian woman before, so she was completely baffled. As far as she knew, Japan only made boys.

"What's a Poncle?" she asked, flying up a little more until her arms were leaning on the edge of the barrel. "And what are you?"
