Yeah, I'll Be There, Shooting Up Your World
Who: Greg House and Rorschach
What: Two antisocial sociopathic-type grumpy angry men meet and JUDGE each other.
When: Late afternoon
Where: Near the clock tower
Rating: TBA.
Status: Active

Rorschach sighed heavily, his hat and neatly folded coat in the grass beside him and his mask sitting in his lap to dry, as he stole a rare moment of rest in the shade of the clock tower. It had been a difficult morning, and he had gotten a few hours of sleep in after taking Merope to see the doctor called Lexie. Now, she was resting, as she was doubtless supposed to after what she'd been through, and he'd decided to, as well. Physical exertion took its toll even on the most hardened and stoic masked heroes.

Rorschach's mask, or "true face," was the only part of him that he washed regularly. He had perspired a great deal in the spiking temperature, and he didn't want sweat to stain the shifting fabric. It would utterly ruin it to allow something like that. Without his mask, Rorschach was scarcely recognizable. He was in his mid-thirties, had high cheekbones, close-cropped red hair and sharp stubble, and shrewd blue eyes. He was fascinatingly ugly, with a blank expression that was more mask-like than his signature accessory. It was a face that had only been seen by one person in this place, so far.

That was the thing, though. People lied to obscure the truth -- and if people would just tell him the truth, it'd madediagnostics that much easier. It wasn't his fault that each time he tried to diagnose someone the first few chances failed. If he only knew one piece of information; the one tiny piece they tried to keep hidden, that was all he'd need.

Really. Wasn't that hard.

"Elderly?" House fixated on the one word in the diatribe and just stared at Rorschach. "He of the waxy face and too much botox," House replied curtly. "It's not age it's what most would call 'distinguished'." Never mind the fact that he was, in essence, a crotchety old man. "Said nothing about prejudices, though I think the grammar police might be after you shortly for your own against the personal pronouns. They're setting up picket lines even as we speak. Shouting something akin to 'Attica'!"

Rorschach stared right back, unsure what the man meant by "waxy" and "botox." Though Rorschach's expression was often static and stiff, his face was weathered, sun-damaged, and he had never even heard of people who would get needles put into their face for vanity's sake. If he had, he would have condemned them for being masochists with faulty priorities.

"No such thing as grammar police. Only real police; incompetent. Don't do jobs well enough. Reason masked heroes so important." Rorschach's expression stayed exactly the same throughout the curt little speech, but his brows furrowed in puzzlement when he heard the word "Attica." He canted his head to the side.
