WHO: Jack Harkness, OTA
WHAT: Passing out Weevil!spray and a discovery.
WHEN: Noon to mid afternoon
WHERE: Clock tower.
RATING: TBA. And not automatically PG-13 because it's Jack. So there.
STATUS: Complete

It seemed like the Weevils had disappeared overnight. Jack frowned, wandering about the compound and he could no longer feel them around. It felt strange -- like he had somehow lost a kindred spirit along the way. Jack wandered about but couldn't come across any sign of them. Hopefully they all hadn't been killed during the night. Still, he was going to pass out the spray. It was always possible that they'd be back.

Those damned Powers -- who knew what they would do next? Next thing he'd know they'd wake up at the museum to find it looking like St Mary's. God, that was the last thing they needed.

While the weather had warmed, Jack still was wearing his greatcoat. There was no way he was leaving it anywhere. He had already lost his Vortex Manipulator and his Webley -- he wasn't about to lose his Coat too. That is...

The hell?

Jack frowned seeing the box and after looking inside, came up with a plastic version of... Jack grinned, flipping it open. Plastic or not, it was better than nothing. And, maybe, he'd be able to get some of the Doctor's supplies and get it working. He wasn't going to complain. Still, though it was plastic, it still felt so much better to have something on his wrist.

Now all he needed was the Webley.

As soon as he'd gotten that nod, he smiled slowly. Good to know he still had it. He'd had to guess several times with the Doctor and it'd really put him off. But this man? This one was easier to figure out. He already knew that he was a do-gooder, saving the world and all, because Jack had announced that.. but it was also obvious from the way he'd asked Gambit what sort of man he thought he was, that he hadn't always been a do-gooder. And honestly, the Cajun would have said he was a thief, but sometimes people assumed it took one to know one, and he didn't want Jack having any correct assumptions about him. So he'd chosen the next best thing: Con man. Criminal, would have been his second choice, if he'd been wrong. But all the same.

Though, the little comment about dancing had the red-head smirking and he crossed his arms over his chest and lifted his chin, exploiting his height advantage over the man in the fantastic coat. "Big damn hero." He agreed simply. However, when Jack commented that he was like him in that, and asked what he was hiding, he shook his head some.

"I hope you don' mean I'm uh hero. Somet'in' happen here, mon ami, I leave all your asses to die wit'ou' a secon' t'ought, d'accord?" However, if he wasn't talking about Gambit being a hero, which was most likely the case, the Cajun would touch on that base, as well. "Oui, much more 'den I seem. An' I'm hidin' a lot, Cap'in Jack Harkness. Bet it drive you crazy not knowin', non? But you gon' hafta wai'. 'Dis game too much fun t'be endin' it now. I tell you what. You t'ink 'bout it, 'den you come fin' me and we talk more. Maybe you figure it out all on your own, hm?" The red-head gave him a wink then before backing off a few steps.. and turning away to start walking towards the Gym. He'd missed his appointment with Wolverine long ago, but who knew, he might still be there.

There were some things a man could figure out very easily just by looking at Jack. The fact that he wore an RAF greatcoat could easily peg him for a military man and a hero at that. Creative deductions and nothing more, as far as Jack was concerned. But still, nothing like having the old ego fed just a little bit -- though Jack was sure there were many who'd argue that he didn't need to have his ego fed anymore than it already was. Jack may have been a lot of things in his life, but criminal was far from the list. Con man, yes -- but that was for his own gain, not to harm others.

Gas masks definitely not included there.

"No, not quite the hero category, though you could be there if you wanted to, I suppose," Jack mused. Really, anyone could follow the path of the straight and narrow -- but it was when the path jogged that things got interesting. He would never admit to being driven crazy by lack of knowledge, though if the Cajun had any reading on Jack, he wouldn't have to ask to know the answer to the question. "Or you find me," Jack replied with a slight incline of his head. He returned the wink with one of his own, smiling as Gambit headed away from him.

Yes, there were still surprises to be found in Vas Captio, weren't there?
