She watched Jack drag Shannon toward her and that was too funny for her not to laugh about. He was a good sport but Shannon wasn't all that heavy. She couldn't be with that figure. Jenny sat in a pile of her skirt and reached up for the pot she'd rested on the windowsill as they advanced. She was split in two as she took another drag, choking it down a bit more easily than she had before and blowing it out in a perfect ring. Both scared and amused. Giggly and terrified.
Jenny let Shannon pull her up, giggling as she flopped against the other girl. Momentarily Jenny felt a surge of electricity as her body met Shannon's but then she was tumbling into Jack too in a whirl of skirts and hair. She couldn't stop laughing even though part of her was seriously terrified that this Jack was the same Jack as yesterday and that he was going to get her hurt the way the other one had. The scratches still visible on her left arm from where she'd fallen into the broken branch.
"Jack, hi. No, we haven't met I don't think. Have we? You're not a clone, right?" she asked and tried not to look up into his eyes. Looking up when you were chest to chest with a man was just an invitation for a kiss, wasn't it? She didn't want to be kissed, did she?
