Who: Sam Winchester & Andy Gallagher
What: Remembering Cold Oak
Where: Starting at the church and heading towards the clocktower
When: Day 9, Morning
Rating: R
Status: Active

Sam had only been drunk a handful of times in his entire life and somehow between the few times he always forgot just how horrible the morning after a night of binge drinking was.  He'd been sick earlier, though he was grateful that he'd been able to make it out of the museum and out of the sight of any of it's inhabitants, especially one, before he emptied the contents of his stomach on an unsuspecting bush around the back of the building. He couldn't really think of anything that would've been more embarrassing than having Shannon witness that, except maybe having Dean see it.

He also found himself grateful for the fact that he hadn't yet consumed all of his tic-tacs from his welcome package so that he could put them to good use now. He'd made his way back into the museum and while he normally wouldn't have touched Shannon's supplies without first asking permission he'd taken the liberty of helping himself to her supply of Aleve and a bottle of water. She probably wouldn’t even know, considering she was still sleeping in one of the rooms with Ianto and Jack, though he wasn't entirely sure if she'd care or not. He wasn't sure what had happened between them, but she was definitely acting as if he'd done something wrong. Something that was most clearly evidenced by the fact that she'd decided to sleep with someone else the night before without so much as telling him she was going to do so. Not that she necessarily owed him an explanation, he'd just forgotten momentarily that she didn't. Which was maybe the most disturbing thing of all.

A quick look in the journals had given him an excuse to get out of the museum and had him headed towards the church to meet up with Andy. The pretty day was absolutely wasted on him as he battled the raging headache that remained untouched by the Aleve and squinted against the morning light. Even the sounds of the birds annoyed him as he made the trek from the museum to the church, his shoulders slightly more slouched against the sunshine than they normally would've been. He had finished the water bottle by the time he reached the church, his thoughts moving to his father and his brother as he surveyed the lonely graveyard. By the time he reached the church door there was a part of him that had wished he knew some place where he could curl up alone and go back to sleep and then start the day over hangover free. 'Course wishful thinking hadn't exactly gotten him anywhere before, he didn't exactly have a lot of faith in it now.

He reached up and knocked, the sharp sound of his knuckles on the door seeming to echo. Then, realizing that Andy wasn't exactly the most mobile person at the moment and Luna was out he pushed the door open. "Andy?" He called out, but not as loudly as he normally might've, as he searched the open space for a sign of his friend. "Hey, it's me, Sam."

After making plans with Sam to take a walk, Andy laid back on the pew, hands laced behind his head, for a few moments, staring up at the ceiling. Luna wasn't with Sam. Logically, that meant she was either with Dean or Tonks, from what he gathered. He wondered if he should be worried, but really all he could muster was hurt. Andy still had no idea what he'd done wrong that had driven her away completely; he thought that they were cool. She'd talked to him on the journal a little bit the day before and she'd even stopped into the church for a while. But still, she hadn't come home at the end of the night.

Home. That was using the word pretty loosely, he thought. Sam seemed confident, though, that Luna was fine, so if Sam thought so, Andy thought so. Groaning slightly from the pain of the kinks in his shoulders and neck from a terrible night's sleep, Andy got to his feet and, without the crutches, hobbled slowly into the alter boys' room where he had taken to leaving his clothes. It was kind of hot this morning, he thought, so although he hadn't any shorts, he did have a t-shirt and the sooner he got out of the long sleeves he was currently wearing and into it, the better.

Andy was halfway through struggling back into his jeans after having cleaned the wound on his leg - which, by the way, was becoming more and more tedious to have to fucking deal with all the time - when he heard Sam calling out to him. "Hey man, two seconds," he called back and leaned at an awkward angle against the wall in an effort to hold himself up so that he could more carefully pull the jeans up. It wasn't that he was still having mobility issues - because he was getting much better at moving around on his own - it just stung like a bitch to pull the material up over the still-irritated wound.

A few minutes later, he was dressed and walking, albeit slowly, back out into the church. "Shit, Sam, you look like hell..." he muttered, brow furrowed slightly with concern as soon as he took in the sight of his friend. "You all right, man? I can walk it myself if you're not feeling well..."

He didn't want to walk by himself, especially since it had sounded a little like his friend could use a sounding board today, but he'd do it if he had to and he'd just go straight to the gym rather than dicking around outside enjoying the weather. The weather change was making him pretty miserable as well. Not because he enjoyed the cold, because he sure as hell didn't, but the quick change was wreaking havoc on his sinuses. Andy was stuffy and had a headache, not to mention the massive amount of sinus pressure. It was particularly bothersome because Andy didn't get sick very often...but when he did, he was pretty much down for the count. In fact, after Doc Lex got the stitches out, he was thinking he might just come back here to crash. For the rest of the day.

At the sound of Andy's voice from the other room, Sam dropped into one of front pews and leaned his head back before closing his eyes. He actually wished he'd taken four times as many aspirin as he had, since all the jarring of walking had only made his headache worse.

He opened his eyes when he heard Andy's voice much clearer and closer this time and lifted his head to look at Andy. The fact that he looked like Hell didn't exactly make Sam feel any better. There probably wasn't any point in trying to hide the fact that he was hung over, besides he'd pretty much already told Andy so over the journals. "I'm fine," Sam said, forcing a small smile and pushing himself to his feet. He looked Andy over, noting the way he was moving slowly but without crutches. "I want to go." He paused, raising his eyebrows. "You're looking better."

He thought Andy still looked a little doubtful and so Sam pressed on, not really allowing him much room to argue as he stepped closer. "Anyway, there are some things I'd really like to talk to you about, so this works for both of us."
