Day Two - Experiment
Who: Sam Winchester and Luna Lovegood
What: Experiment
When: 7:00 am
Where: In the woods
Rating: PG-13 for language
Status: Complete

Sam awoke to the sound of thunder, suddenly aware of the sound of rain falling and the feel of it sliding down the back of his shirt.  His neck felt cramped as if he'd been sitting this way with his head bent forward for a long period of time.  He tried to move his hands so he could wipe away the wetness on his face, but found that they were firmly bound behind him.

Sam looked down, seeing the ropes tied around his hips and lower abdomen, then behind him to see what exactly he was tied to.  It wouldn't be the first time he'd woken tied up to a chair or a tree, except this time he found it was a person.  He caught light blonde hair out of the corner of his eye, though he couldn't make out any details except it looked long.  That wasn't helpful considering there were three women with blonde here that he knew off.  Unless he was back in Cold Oak and this was, Lily?  He shook his head, not sure what was real and what wasn't.  He glanced around the immediate area, trying to see through the heavy falling rain and fog as he tried to remember how he'd ended up here.

He took a deep breath, trying to work his hands free as he jiggled the person tied to him.  "Hey," he said, over the sound of the rain.  "Are you okay?"

He understood, even if his attention had been drifting onto some other topic. Which was okay, because thoughts were meant to drift and fly and light upon topics that caught them in their hooked edges. Well, now her attention had drifted for a bit.

With a nod, she emphasized his correctness. "It does not. The potion works with the magic in our veins, without it, it simply does nothing." Well, that was not true, it actually slowly poisoned the user if they continued to attempt to drink it despite everything. Luckily it was a bit difficult to brew, and only Potion Masters could do it with any real ease, so there was little worry of a witch or wizard poisoning any Muggle with the potion.

Thankfully wolves were not stupid creatures. While that had worked against Luna and Sam while they were being attacked, the fact that they were deemed a big enough threat that it would be easier to find other prey was certainly a plus. Still, she made sure to watch them leave, just in case they decided to change their minds.

The concern on Sam's face had somehow seemed out of place, until Luna reached a hand around herself to slid up the skin of her back from the bottom of her shirt to at least the middle of her spine. It must have been a long forgotten protective instinct that had shut down the sensations of radiating pain she felt from the claw marks in her skin, as if she needed her attention brought to them to remember that they hurt. Her blonde brows furrowing for a second, it was an almost childlike expression that graced her face as she summed up her feelings in one simple sound. "Ow," the witch said as she looked at the hand she had touched to her back, seeing the blood there.

While Sam was trying to decide which direction to head in, Luna was busy inspecting the nearest tree as well. As much as was possible through the haze of rain, which was rather cold. Admittedly her own inspection of the towering plant was looking for other signs, signs of animals that Sam and many others would likely doubt existed. Every time was the time to keep your eyes out for magical creatures, in her opinion, you never knew when they would pop up. And Luna did not want to miss a chance of discovery just because she had been left in the middle of the woods in her pajamas and tied to a rather nice quarter giant.

The bottom of her left pajama pants leg had shredded, leaving the hem ripped. With her tongue pressing against the inside of one cheek, she bent and ripped off the dangling shred of fabric. Using her new length of former clothing and both hands, she tied her soaked hair back and mostly out of her face. Although there was just nothing to be done with her bangs but to push them back.

"Okay," she agreed, no argument whatsoever in allowing him to take the lead. No doubt in trusting him to find where they were supposed to go.
