WHO: Jack Harkness, Logan, Ianto Jones, OTA
WHAT: Jack's ego the Death-Off
WHERE: clocktower
WHEN: Day 8, noon
RATING: High, knowing the mouths in here.
STATUS: Active

First of all, challenging Logan to something like this was completely out of character for Jack. He tried to avoid death at all costs, knowing just how it felt to be dragged over the coals and brought back to life each time. But knowing that Logan couldn't die (or so the man believed) and Jack's utter frustration with the neanderthal, he couldn't help himself.

Well, that and caffeine withdrawl might have had something to do with it. More than something to do with it. Who'd have thought he'd still be suffering with Ianto around? These damned PTB. Was it too much to ask for to get a decent (by his standards) cupof coffee? Not to mention these damned clones running about. Blatantly asking for sex? Jack shuddered, passing the movement off as shivering from the cold. Worst part was... if it was a complete clone, did it carry the same 'side-effect' he had?

God, what if he was stuck with the imbicile for good?

Consequently, Jack knew this was stupid, but he couldn't back down. Besides, it was the best way to provide some entertainment coupled with the 'least' harmful way to take out his aggressions. If anyone was to deal with the Weevils, it was him. Not some arse with a murder complex who couldn't understand that humans weren't always at the top of the food chain.

Standing in front of the clock tower at five minutes to noon, Jack crossed his arms. And waited.

It wasn't fair to say the Doctor had been surprised that Jack's coup de gras had been his experience on Satelite 5. The Doctor inwardly winced. He'd seen the Daleks. He knew what those blasters of theirs did. He knew what they looked like, sounded like, and what they did. Daleks, he knew, exterminated.

His arms crossed - he didn't need to pipe up about the Daleks. No, Jack had got himself in to this match and the Doctor was not there to help him win it. He kept his carefully maintained pokerface intact and continued to listen.

Logan was curious how he knew. "Adamantium has this interesting frequency when it colides with something - especially if it scrapes against itself," the ringing, popping noise of those claws as they cut both his skin and locked into place let that ring go right into the Doctor's head. "And," he was making faces like he was tasting something interesting in the top of his mouth, "I can sort of... er.." he let it go.

He cracked open his journal and scowled. Ryuzaki. Back into his own little world a moment, feeling all patience leaving him.

Using the experience on Sattelite 5 hadn't been Jack's original intent, but it was the first thing that came to mind. It was hard to explain the Daleks to those who didn't know and while he knew his description had been vague, Jack had the sense that Logan understood. He didn't need to look at Ianto or the Doctor for further confirmation. This wasn't exactly the way he had intended to tell Ianto about where his immortality came from, but there it was. Hell, he probably wouldn't have ever shared that to be quite honest.

Jack barely managed to contain the laugh seeing the expression on the Doctor's face. "It's one of those... things. Travel around a lot and you'd be surprised what all one hears and learns of from time to time."

"Sounds like quite the week," Jack said, face sliding back into it's typical grin. He was done thinking of Daleks. There were better things to focus on. "Sasquatch? Interesting. I had a tangle with Abaddon once. The demon. Had my life force sucked out in order to save all of Cardiff. Not to mention finding myself in any number of different times and alternate worlds. Javelin has to be one of the most painful deaths, though getting tossed off a building a good sixty stories up is right up there too."

Logan snorted. "Sorta looked like a Sasquatch anyway. 'Bout seven feet of hair, bad attitude, bloodlust and no conscience at all."

Logan blinked at Jack's recital. "Javelin? As in the weapon? Or a person?" Valid question, where Logan comes from. "Definitely sounds like you've done the rounds, that's for damn sure." He admitted.

But then, this had never been about Logan proving how big his own balls were. If it had, they'dve been fighting long since.

He didn't like this. Ianto didn't like being reminded about death and he didn't like being reminded about Jack's deaths in particular. Sighing a little, he bent and dusted off a bit of masonry to perch himself on and occasionally glanced over at the Doctor, wondering.

"So, you've both died horrific deaths. Am I allowed to call this a draw?"
