Day Eight Evening
Who: clone!Doctor, the Doctor
What: DOOM meeting
Where: outside, near the museum
When: Day 8, evening
Rating: PG?
Status: Active

It had been a good day for the false Doctor. He had met quite a lot of people, and even though he hadn't managed to fool all of them it had been worth it to be exposed as a fraud to see the expression on their faces. Surprise, shock, above all fear. Fear was what kept them trapped.

They should have thanked him. He was showing them reality, without the sugar-coating and false hoped that the man who was the "original" Doctor insisted to give them. Instead they insisted on clinging to silly romantic fantasies. We'll break the wall! We'll go home! Idiocies.
He knew that there was no hope of escape, not even for him. He felt that he didn't have much time left and it was a shame. So many people he never got to met...

The sun had already disappeared beyond the buildings but it was still daylight.
His feet were bringing him back to the museum, and the Doctor knew why. He wanted to meet himself. It was probably dangerous, but he didn't care much about that. He wouldn't be controlled by something so base as fear, like those others.

He stopped outside the building, looking up and down the road. For a moment uncertainty flickered in his eyes, as he tried to decide if it would be worth it to enter and look inside. But Shannon had probably warned everyone by now and they'd be on their guard. It would be much better to wait outside for anyone who might pass that way. He leaned against the opposite building, half-hidden in the shadows.

The clone smirked. He loved this particular human trait. He could plot the most elaborate scheme and the Doctor would have simply scoffed at it. However, from the moment he announced that he had no plans, the Time Lord had gotten suspicious.
"But obviously you know so much about me because I'm you," he teased.

He shrugged at the mention of his own death. "I couldn't explain to you," he said. "I knew from the beginning that I didn't have much time. I got used to it."
He smirked to the memories of the last day. "I spent it well, I think."

"Yes, I think Mr Insider is an even bigger drama queen than our Shannon," the clone laughed. He didn't feel any attachment for his creators. After all, he'd been just a tool they'd used for their own experiments. He grinned.
"I'm surprised you didn't question me already."
