Sid smirked when Cheryl said if it was her, he'd be a meal and maybe even a beer to the good. If it'd been her, maybe he wouldn't have gotten his arse beat by a bunch of girls to begin with; Cheryl looked like the type that could not only take care of herself, but would maybe even take pleasure in the process. Shit, that might be fun to watch, actually...
Cheryl's voice pulled Sid out of his own morbid and probably a little sick new fantasy of Cheryl, Michelle, and Cass having it out; fists flying and hair pulling. Screaming and kicking one another likely for his attention. No, definitely for his attention. He blinked and looked over at Cheryl, a little taken aback not only at having been surprised by her voice because he was so engrossed in his little fantasy. He gave her a small smile when she poked his shoulder. "If you say so. Somehow, I think Cass would disagree with you, though," he replied. And, with that, he could hear Cass in his head again. I'll love you forever, Sid. ...that's the problem. He pushed it away, though, and focused on the fact that they were back to talking about the more humorous bits of his life.
"Right, that would've really been bollocks," he agreed with her. The idea of having been stuck in that padded room staring uselessly out the tiny window on the door for any longer than he had been made his skin crawl. He shuddered and made a face. "Seriously bollocks," he tacked on for good measure before smirking slightly. "Some of it? Oi..." he warned jokingly.
While it was nice to hear Cheryl tell Sid that she thought he had a pretty good chance, in reality, he didn't care one way or the other. Not really, anyway. He was still holding to hope that he'd be getting out of this place sooner than later and he'd go back to looking for Cass, because she was what really mattered. She was the only thing that mattered, really. In his life, anyway.
"Guess so," he replied with a shrug to match Cheryl's own. "Though..." he went on thoughtfully, "to be fair, I've only met a couple of other men, so..." he let his voice trail off and he shrugged again as if to say, maybe I'm just mistaken.
Taking a deep breath, Sid let out a sigh and reached over to pull the window back down. "I think I'm gonna explore a little," he told her. "Thanks for joining me, yeah? Better when you're not smoking alone," he replied, starting toward the stairs.
