Day 6 - Late morning
Who: George and OTA
What: Some kind of breakfast?
When: Day Six, about 11am
Where: Gas Station/Convenience Store
Rating: PG
Status: Active

What a wonderful awakening. In the style of George Lass, this was thought with pure sarcasm and a shit-eating grin while she walked, hands in her coat pockets, from the thrift store to the gas station. She'd gone to pick up a scarf, a beanie hat and some ear-muffs to add to her recently put together outfit, also courtesy of the Doctor. Well, the coat, anyway. It was cold as hell, and her sneakers were letting the snow in now. She'd need new socks soon.

For now, she was just hungry and thirsty, mildly feeling like she had a hangover without the drinking, and she needed some food as soon as possible. Hence why she had just walked into the convenience store, briefly noticing that the guys who usually stood outside weren't there - maybe even they couldn't face the cold morning, or maybe they just weren't morning people.

Non-perishable food meant not much choice at all, so George picked a bagel, an individual chocolate pudding and a cereal bar; then, some Mountain Dew-like generic thing she hoped wouldn't taste like shit. It would have to do. Rather than going back outside and walking all the way to the theater before eating, George set her stuff on the counter and then jumped up to sit on top of it. Not like the clerks would mind, after all.

Sid nodded and took another bite of his cereal bar. "Yeah, 's what he said, anyway. Sounds a bit like a hybrid between football and basketball, only it's a contact sport, he said," he explained, not bothering to excuse himself in any way from talking with his mouth full.

Somehow, he was unsurprised when George said she didn't think anything would come up. Sid didn't think so, either, but he'd promised to keep his head down, so that was his current plan of action. "Sounds sort of fun, in any case. If for no other reason than he seems really enthusiastic about it, yeah?" he said with a smile.

Yeah, nothing she'd ever heard of. Maybe this Anders guy wasn't from the present or the past, or maybe he wasn't from Earth. Like River. At this point, George believed anything.

"I guess so." She shrugged. Adjusting herself on the counter, she supported her chin with a closed fist. "So, Sid, what were you up to before you woke up in this god-forsaken shithole?"

Might as well get to know people.
