With a soft sigh and a tiny smile, Shannon awoke to the sight of the morning sun peeking into the windows of the room in which she'd fallen asleep, spooning Sam as per their usual arrangement. It had been a cold night and, she realized as she stretched, it was an even colder morning. She was dimly aware of a blanket she didn't remember having the night before and thought maybe the Doctor had given it to them after she had fallen asleep for her shift. She was also dimly aware of the warmth of Sam against her back, still holding her close to keep her warm. There was snow falling, much to her surprise, visible through the window and--

Hold on. Time out. Something didn't quite add up. Shannon shook her head slightly and blinked rapidly, trying to get her head. She felt almost as out of it as she had when she'd first arrived her, although not quite as such. But something felt wrong. Sam felt amazing up against her but...

Shannon lifted an end of the blanket and peeked underneath. Okay, then... Yeah, that was what felt different for sure. Skin on skin. It had been a really long day, yesterday. She'd been hungover and exhausted and, well, horny, so it almost didn't surprise her that she'd slept with Sam before passing out for the night. Except for the part where she didn't actually remember doing it.

"Sam...are you up?" she whispered hoarsely, elbowing him slightly as she snuggled back into him. "Did we...? I feel all weird...like the morning I got here. I must've been really fucking tired..."

Not that she minded, of course. It was Sam. She had wanted it to be Sam, if she was honest, although she'd never admit that out loud - ever - considering the whole thing with Dean in the showers, but... There it was. She just wish that she could fucking remember it. Shit, what a waste.

As she got dressed, Shannon ran through the awkward conversation with Sam before she'd closed herself into the room. You don't have anything to be embarrassed about. A small, flattered smile crossed her lips as she zipped her jeans. Was that his way of saying he thought she looked good, in spite of the fact that her hair was probably a disgusting mess and she'd only been wrapped in a blanket? She hoped so.

Pulling the hoodie on over her shirt, Shannon opened the door and gave Sam a small, embarrassed smile before coming all the way out into the hall again, folded blanket draped over her arm, and closed the door behind herself. "I'm glad you were here," she said, nodding toward the door behind which Anders was getting dressed. "I mean...I was freaking out," she admitted with a sheepish look, tucking her hair behind her ear with her free hand.

With that, she sidestepped Sam awkwardly and knocked on the door. "You good to go?" she asked Anders through the wood. Part of her was more than ready for him to leave; the sooner the other Sam left, the sooner she could pretend nothing had happened and she wouldn't feel so stupid about the whole thing.
