"Guess it's too much to hope they just want us to have semi-comfortable lodging this time, huh?" Rose asked with a wry smile. Of course they didn't. It was the mostly-anonymous 'Management' and their cruel ways. "Though I suppose if that was true, they'd have added a big comfy bed and piles of pillows and so on."
Remus. The thought of her young friend...probably in his thirties or so by that time but still young in her mind, should have made her smile. Instead, she winced slightly. Hopefully subtle enough that Tonks would miss it, but it was still hard to come to terms with what might have happened. In her heart, she knew Remus would never have hurt her on purpose. Neither would the redheaded man. But it had still been terrifying, and now that she'd met a werewolf in her 'real life', too... Stupid complicated timey wimey things.
"Course he forgot about it. Same as we all tried to. And I guess if it'd been twenty years instead of a few months, I might have, too." What was going on? Heh. "Well... I guess it's no secret I'm not a huge fan of Remy. He kept reminding me that the time I spent traveling with the Doctor was going to end, and sure, I knew it, but..." No, she was not going to cry again. They'd figure a way around it. It couldn't possibly be the end for them. Not yet. It was just too soon. "Anyway. Bound to happen sooner or later, I guess," she finished with a forcefully cheery smile. "How about you? You guys were fighting something, weren't you? How'd that go?"
