Previous Entry  Add to memories!  Tell a Friend!  Next Entry
Who: Selene and Remus.
What: Supernatural creatures touch base after the trying days of experiments.
Where: the Museum.
When: Day 30 - Early afternoon?
Rating: PG. (for now)
Status: Active.

As she made her way to the museum, centuries of experience were mentally chastising her. Lycans were animals that needed to be put down. They were the root of evil, a dirty, howling, stinking stain upon the world. When one was found they were killed and that was that.

She had worried the moment she caught the first whiff of a werewolf and now had her worry been justified? But he didn't have a choice. They could have been controlling him too, they could have forced him to attack Rose. Was that a valid excuse though? Was it a good enough reason? If Rose was truly turned then Selene would be dealing with three werewolves, not to mention that other hunter she had met however many days ago it was now. Was this some sort of test? Were they going to keep bringing in or creating werewolves until the vampire started doing what she was created to do?

Selene didn't have any answers, simply more questions, and this new development did not help her mood any. The vampire wanted to kill someone for taking away her will and control. Yet, here she was, going to see someone she had a perfectly valid reason to harm. Even she wasn't sure how this might turn out.

She wouldn't have to go too far, because after being dropped off by that other werewolf, Remus had settled down on the steps of the museum and had let his elbows rest on drawn-up knees, so he could settle his chin on his hands and stare out, awaiting Selene. It was perhaps strange that this young werewolf would so eagerly await someone who was made to kill him.. but he couldn't help it. He liked her. And oddly enough, he felt safe with her. Talk about ironic.

So when the sandy blonde saw the dark woman approaching, he slid up to his feet with a little smile and came down the steps to meet her. "Thank you for coming. I just needed to get away and I was hoping you'd go with me? Just for a walk, out into the woods?" He wanted to be alone with her. Careful, Selene. Did they still have this child under their control? Could he turn at any moment and attack you? Perhaps that was why he wanted you alone.

Did you trust him?

When she caught sight of the young werewolf Selene had to fight the tension that wanted to stiffen her shoulders and back. It was as much because of instinct as her irritation that day upon finding those in charge had been nice enough to strip away her feeling of invinciblity the last several days and return her to the slowly starving state she had been in.

"Of course, Remus. I wanted to make sure you were indeed alright." She didn't try to fake a smile she wasn't feeling, just nodding slightly when he mentioned seeking some privacy. At least that was how she heard it. Part of her thought that was what they should have stuck with to begin with, the non-humans staying away from those that were. Then there would be no feelings of concern, no feelings at all, really. And that would make dealing with all these humans so much easier.

"Let's walk, then. A bit of privacy would probably do us both good."
