Entry tags:!active, day 26, ianto jones, jack harkness, location: library, rose tyler, selene, the doctor (nine), the doctor (ten)

Who: The Doctors (Nine and Ten), Jack Harkness, Ianto Jones, Selene, Rose Tyler, and Sarah Jane.
What: The meeting at noon, they're ready to make an escape.
Where: The Library.
When: Day 26, 12:00PM.
Rating: PG-13
Status: Active [No Posting Order]

It was noon.  The Doctor was already waiting on the steps of the library. He couldn't have told anyone over the journals what this little meeting was to entail, but they'd surely be excited when they found out. They were getting out of here. Today. They couldn't lose. With those two brilliant minds, and three brilliant pieces of equipment? They'd be out of here in short work.

So he hoped.

Seven people-- he was waiting for six more, and looking up towards the sky, hoping that the management wouldn't notice the influx of people going to the library. What was he thinking? Of course they'd notice.. unless they'd had some sort of big distraction. Why hadn't he thought of that? And just as he was thinking it, there was a loud explosion from the NorthEast of them. His head turned that way, but it was impossible to see anything. It sounded like it might have been coming from the church of thereabouts.. but when no one came screaming down the lane leading away from the church, the Doctor went back to looking around. Another explosion followed shortly after. No screaming. Someone was having a little too much fun over there, and Nine was slowly standing up, curiosity touching his face. Where had someone managed to get their hands on gunpowder, and why wasn't it being used on the glass wall?

Oh what a lovely tea party.

John Smith came walking into the library with what amounted to a cheeky grin at first, he'd look over the gathered bunch one by one. Jack, Ianto, Sarah Jane, Nine. Oh, and there was Selene. The Vampire. He'd gone and done it, actually invited the Vampire to their little soirée. Sorry, Selene, did you see the way his face dropped a little and he looked immediately to the other people gathered? No, you weren't part of his trusted circle; though, that likely didn't matter much to you.

What bothered him more was that he'd wanted to tell his friends why he'd been avoiding them; why he'd only given them snippets in the journal and little hints at his well being. Why he hadn't been eager or energetic or, simply, himself. He knew that they knew. He knew they'd been worried. And like hell he was going to expose himself like that in front of a stranger. Ianto, he supposed, he could tolerate; but, not her.

"Looks like almost the whole gang," he said cheekily, leaning up against a high bookshelf and ignoring the dust and scent of mildew. At least this library didn't have Vashta Narada - a vampire he could handle.

"Three stripes." He said with a smile, pushing up his sleeve to display the markings to her. "I'm guessing they might be marking us by threat level." It was a tease, of course. "You and I are among the highest." Him for his mind and her for.. well.. she had quite a sharp mind too, but her more for the physical aspect. Though, Nine certainly wasn't a lightweight, he could fight if he was forced to, but he wouldn't in any other situation.

The vampire wasn't part of Ten's trusted circle? Ten, of course, was being prejudice because she'd nearly killed the Cajun, but who's really paying attention? And where was that Cajun, anyway? Nine had lifted his eyebrows some in surprise when Ten had showed up without the red-head glued to his side. That was unexpected. Sure, he'd spent time with Ten where the Cajun had never shown up, but it hadn't been a function of sorts.. he'd been expecting that Doctor to have invited the strange red-eyed creature along. Wrong again, he supposed. That happened a lot with Nine, and he worked around it, worked it out, until he got it right. He'd get this right soon.

"Hope you brought the tea, Jack." He commented easily aside to the other man-- the fixed point. It still made the back of his mind itch to look at him. He was wrong, all wrong. It hurt just looking at him, like he was a fuzzy thing.. but this was Jack, and the Doctor knew from watching interactions with Ten and the other man, that he'd always be there. Ianto got a nod as well. Welcome to the tea party, tea boy.

"Just missing Rose." He agreed to the suit-wearing version of himself, leaning back against the bookshelf he'd chosen, arms crossing against his chest. "Always late." A comment to himself, but at least he wasn't going on about her species. Not yet. He'd save that for later.
