Who:  Remus Lupin & Rose Tyler & Tonks
What:  Remus has gone looking for Rose.
Where: The Gym
When: Day 24, 3:26PM
Rating: PG
Status: Active

Rose had told him a few days ago that she'd be in the gym. So that was where he was headed. The lack of sun made him a little nervous, he had to admit.. but the fact that there was no moon at all? No moon in the evening sky that had lasted for four days now? That was unnerving. Something was very wrong, and he hoped that it had nothing at all to do with him.

The bugs, for the most part, weren't much of a bother.. he had to swat a few away, but they hadn't tried attacking him. It was a good thing, he'd had enough of being attacked. First birds, then zombies? He wasn't sure he could handle bugs. They were just here to get rid of the corpses, he was sure, since he'd seen a swarm of them eating a body on the side of the road. Thinking about it made him a little sick to his stomach, so he was quickly changing topics in his mind. Rose. He wanted to find Rose.. wanted to make sure that she was alright, see if there was anything he could do for her.. and ask if she minded if he stayed with her at the gym. He'd stayed the last few nights with the Doctor, but the man came and went at odd hours and it always woke him up. And sometimes, he'd feel eyes on him, and he knew that man was staring at him. He knew it was because he was a werewolf. With Rose there, he'd focused most of his attention on her.. but without her? Well.. he was just ready to have her back.

So he was carefully stepping into the gym and looking around that wide open space. He hadn't been in here since his second day in this place, where that nice doctor had bandaged him up. Most of those bandages were gone now, his wounds were healing over nicely, and only the gauze on the back of his hand remained. "Rose?" He called out into the dark of the gym. He could see people, he could hear movement, but it was hard to tell who was who, without any light. Even for him.

Rose was fretting. She was pretty good at it, really. A habit that came from being Jackie Tyler's only daughter. If anyone knew how to fret, it was Jackie. For a woman who was relatively lax in raising her child, she sure did freak out whenever Rose stayed out all night without calling. Or, you know, ran off with an alien and didn't come back for a year. Details.

But the other Doctor wasn't talking, Chris was still missing, and there were bugs, nasty flesh-eating sorts of bugs, all over the place. All added up, Rose was biting her nails and pacing the stupid gym. Honestly, she was getting restless and was bound to start exploring the area outside of it again soon enough. But for the moment, she was staying put. Jack and the Doctor, her Doctor, the original sort, knew to find her there. And if--no, when Chris came back, he'd expect her there, too. So for the moment, she wasn't budging.

And then she heard that voice. All familiar and adorable and sweet and lost and damn where had he been? "Oi!" she called, attempting to glare but not being able to over the huge smile that broke out over her face. "There you are! Was starting to think I'd never see you again." And she rushed over, grabbing her young werewolfish friend into a tight hug.

"I'm sorry, I would have come sooner, but your friend-- The Doctor-- he wouldn't let me outside." He returned that hug, closing his eyes at the feel of it. He'd missed that. Even the reserved boy needed physical attention some times. A hug always did the trick, and he was quite thankful for it. "He told me I had to stay inside," While there were zombies and the sort wandering around. "I feel bad, I left once.. when I got back, he was there and he scolded me for leaving." And he hadn't left since. Except for this morning, of course. But he'd woken up and the Doctor had been gone, instead of watching him. And he supposed the meant he could have free range today, as there'd been no morning warning of 'Don't go out on your own'.

Now, Remus didn't always listen to rules and regulations.. his friends had gotten him into trouble plenty of times. But he didn't break them on his own. He wasn't a leader by any stretch of the imagination, he was a follower and he always had been. But there was nothing wrong with that. Too many chiefs, not enough Indians, right? "Are you okay?"

Rose rolled her eyes, grinning. Oh, she'd missed this kid. Her friend, yes, and her charge of sorts. That and he was one of those people not connected to that insane life of hers. She loved Jack dearly, and the Doctor--or rather, both of them--meant everything to her. But sometimes? She wanted nothing to do with that. All the connections, all the twists and turns her future was apparently destined to take... She wanted away from it. And Remus? Remus allowed her that. She never should have left him behind.

"Oh, don't listen to him. Besides, I told you you were welcome here, Selene would've helped you if you'd asked. She doesn't listen to any of the warnings," she added with a laugh. Finally, she released him, but she didn't let him far. She still had one hand lightly on his arm. "I'm fine, well, okay, better than I was. My question is, how are you? Was he an absolute bear to live with? He takes some getting used to, trust me, I know." Of course she knew, who knew him better than she did? No one, that's who! Well... Okay, she used to think that. Maybe not so much now. But she still knew the attitude the leather-jacket wearing Doctor carried with him.

"I know." He admitted with a small smile, but he wasn't ever keen on asking for help. He didn't want to seem needy, after all. And he was plenty capable of taking care of himself.. no need to bother other people. "I'm fine.. aside from feeling a little cabin fever, being stuck in that room so long. He wasn't terribly bad to live with, but he.. is sort of rude, isn't he?" He'd taken to calling Remus 'Fur Ball', which wasn't something he appreciated, but wasn't going to argue with the man.. he was sort of intimidating. And:

"He's not human, is he?" The young man questioned after a few seconds of quiet, lifting his eyebrows a little. "He's got two hearts. I can hear them beating at night, it's a little unnerving.. makes me think there's someone else in the room with us." And it made him want to curl up against the Doctor, but he didn't dare, as he wasn't sure how he'd be received. He might be surprised.

"Told you he was an alien," Rose reminded him, her smile wide. Okay, sure, she'd felt trampled recently, and that two-hearted man was one of the ones who'd done the trampling. But she still loved him immensely. She knew, at the end of all things, he'd give his life, all of them, to save hers. Devotion like that didn't go unnoticed. And she was proud of him. So what if he was an alien? He was her alien friend, dammit.

Even she could admit the Doctor was an intimidating man, however. "He scared me half to death when I first met him. Of course, he also saved my life, so I can't say anything. He takes a bit of getting used to, I know. He'd never hurt you, I promise you that." Briefly, she considered the Time Lord's argument with Shannon and sighed. "What you have to remember is, he's not human. He doesn't handle people or events the same way a human would. It's not personal, it never is. It's just how he deals." She didn't need to tell the younger man about her friend's difficult life. If anyone knew about a difficult life, it was a boy turned into a werewolf as a small child.

Tonks was better now, thanks to Connor and his sweet stubbornness that she come with him to the gym. And now that there were no more zombies. The bugs thing was gross, but Auror issue boots kind of made them skitter. The fact that she trampled around with very little grace sort of made them skitter as well.

She heard that Rose was in the gym as well, and hadn't seen her in..forever, it seemed. So was wandering around in search of the other woman. Luckily, she found Rose fairly easily. And found a Remus on the way! The knowledge that they were both okay made Tonks feel even more like herself.

That was why each of them was getting a pair of arms thrown around them without any warning. "You're both alright!" One, and then the other.

"Did you?" He seemed slightly distracted, poor boy. He had a lot of things on his mind, and he shook his head a little then gave her an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry. I'm a little scatterbrained right now.." He glanced down at her hand on his arm, then looked back up at her and stared a few seconds before glancing away. Luckily, the darkness hid his soft blush.

"It's good to know that he at least warms up.." Which was what he was hoping Rose was saying-- but then there was a familiar voice, and Remus turned his head just in time to have the shorter, older woman crush into him and grace him with a hug. He was quite glad for the dark of the gym now, or his blush (which got much darker) would definitely be obvious. "I'm glad to see you're alright, Tonks. I'd been worried." But he'd been banned to a safe room by the over-protective Doctor, who'd come to think of him as Rose's pet, and was going to assure his safety.

Rose burst into giggles when Tonks all but tackled them. All things considered, this was the lightest she'd felt in days. Pathetic, wasn't it? But aside from worrying about Chris, and a bit of worry about that pin-striped bloke, she really didn't have half as much on her shoulders as she'd been having. This was definitely an improvement.

"Well hello yourself," Rose teased, smiling at Tonks and giving Remus a grin. She knew he got all flustered around the older witch. It was his affection towards her she tended to miss. "Knew you could take care of yourself, but checking in now and then might be nice. Come to join the rest of the refugees, then?"

"I've been wicked worried about you both as well!" Boy, was she glad. Smiling, she let go of Remus and smiled sheepishly. "I don't mean to worry anyone." Started apologetically. "Connor helped me get over here last nite," Explained to them both. "I tried to get back earlier, but there were sort of little hindrances here and there, yeah?"

Then Tonks was swinging dark gaze to Rose and grinned a little. "Yes, Mum." In reponse to her comment about checking in. And the funny part was that she did sound like Andromeda.

A nod given, "Safety in numbers, I reckon."

The werewolf's hand found Rose's and he linked his fingers with hers, a subtle motion that went without a glance down, but came with a smile all the same. He missed her. Sorry, Tonks, he knew her better than he knew you, right now. "I think we all had trouble moving around last night.." And the night before that, and the one before that.

"I'm sorry to have to bring this up, but.." It took a moment of hesitation before he finally spit out what he wanted to say. "The lack of a sun, and of a moon," For there'd been neither celestial body in the sky for four days. "Is that because of me?" Self-conscious boy. He'd thought for sure the moon would have come by now, he could feel it twisting at his stomach, just around the corner, for the last four days. Like it was ready to rise, but simply hadn't. It was a feeling he hated, but it'd lingered for four days, instead of twelve hours, like normal.

Rose took a deep breath, giving that hand a squeeze. How much could they tell him? She was afraid to, honestly. She, at least, had been trying to keep their involvement in his situation to a minimum with him. They'd done more than their share of meddling. She didn't want him worrying that they were worried about him. She'd known him nearly ten days, but already she knew how easily he blamed himself for things.

"I don't know," she admitted, looking anxiously towards Tonks. "Honestly, I don't, love. They didn't say. But... Maybe." It had been one of her fears for the last several days, but so many other things had taken precedence that, as long as the moon stayed at bay, she didn't mind so much. But if it was affecting him to the point where he noticed? It could happen any day. They had to get back on task. "Now that we're able to move around a little more freely again, we'll work on it. Promise."

Tonks saw the hand reaching, another sheepish smile appearing..though this one more to herself than anything else..as she shook a hand through her hair. All while hoping that it wouldn't give her away. For anything. Not for the twinge of whatever it was that she felt at the hand-holding (wistfulness? jealousy? Ridiculousness, was what it was) and not for the fact that it was sort of her fault. The darkness.

Rose's gaze was met, and then she looked between them both. "I dunno either.." Said quietly, thinking that they needed to get back on track with that. And then she was nodding firmly at Rose's promise, "Right-o." Added with a half of an impish smile. "We'll find out what's what easy as pie, Remus."

"I'm not a child." He reminded them both, in a more quiet tone. "I can help. I'm smart, I really am. And I'm capable. I can help look for a place for me to stay, or.. figure out something to do with me. Selene and I've spoken about it previously, if needs be she can knock me out and keep me out until morning." Unless the moon rose and lasted four days.

That would be Hell. His own personal Hell.

"I know you're not," Rose answered quietly. "You're one of the bravest people I know, no matter your age." And that was without knowing Remus' sorting, or even what being sorted into Gryffindor would mean. "But that doesn't mean we're not going to champion your cause. Comes with caring about you, you ponce." Rose gave him a playful nudge with her elbow, smiling sideways at him. "The goal is to do whatever we can to not have that happen. Selene knocking you out, I mean. Bit awkward, don't you think?" It would hurt her probably more than it did Remus. She was just an empathetic sort, really.

"Remus Lupin," Tonks smiled a bit, tilting her head. Tonks was smiling because she wasn't sure if he even knew how truly brave he was. But she did. And because it was a familiar debate. "You've got three birds who wanna help you because we care about you." She paused as Rose explained the same thing.

"Mite awkward, quite right."

He dipped his head a little at her words and her nudge. He felt a bit silly, honestly. But all the same, he was nodding some at Tonks' words and looking up again, hazel eyes settling onto first her, then Rose.

"It wouldn't be awkward. I don't think you really understand." He glanced then back at Tonks. "She does. You must know the sort of thing I become. Better to be knocked out than have any chance of turning someone else into a monster." Once again, the boy was looking back over at Rose, tightening his hand in hers. "I'm dangerous, like that."

"Look," Rose reasoned, her voice taking on that 'I'm in charge and you're going to listen' tone, "I've seen some awful, vicious creatures in my time, even if they weren't werewolves. And I didn't want a single one of them to die." Well. Sort of. Killer Daleks were another story entirely. He didn't need to know that, though. Not just then. "I know what you become and it sucks and we'll do what we have to in order to keep you from hurting anyone, but I'm only condoning hurting you as our last resort."

Rose looked at Tonks, hoping for confirmation. Sometimes she was reminded how much more familiar Tonks was with Remus' world than she was, even if nearly two decades separated them.

Tonks watched them back and forth, and lifted her eyebrows a little over to Rose. Don't worry, Rosie. Tonks had your back.

She turned to Remus again, voice taking on a mirroring tone that Rose had. She liked to think of it as her Reasonable Auror voice. "I see some bad things, Remus Lupin. I'm an Auror and I catch those bad things." Not to mention for other reasons, but that was neither here nor there. "You are not one of them." Emphasis on not.

"So you get the same consideration that everybody else gets. An' that consideration includes finding means other than knockin' you flat to get you through the moon." And that was that. You'd get used to her stubbornness eventually, Remus.

He breathed in deeply through his nose as the two shorter, older women talked to him in those tones. They sounded like his mother. He had the urge to rub his toe on the floor and look down, but managed to refrain and only nodded as they both took their turns speaking.

"I just don't want to be a bother." He reminded the two of them quietly, before offering a small smile. He did appreciate their help, though ultimately, their kind words would do nothing to stem his beliefs about himself. Seven years of Tonks telling him the same thing over and over again wouldn't even touch that idea he had in his mind. But he did feel better that they both cared enough to try. "Thank you, both of you."

There were many reasons Rose adored this guy. His modesty was definitely up there. And his reluctance to let them help him. She grinned, then, despite their serious tones, and leaned lightly against Remus' shoulder. "You big silly," she teased, shaking her head. "You're not a bother, don't you get that?" But he didn't, did he? He'd never realize how much people could care about him. The confidence of the young werewolf could certainly use the boost of two older women who adored him. Much like his older self would desperately need Tonks' help in the same manner some day.

Or, you know, those days. After all, Tonks was living it. Hey, practice for her!

Absently, Tonks wondered how much of any of this would return with them. If she could instill in Remus what she'd been trying to tell him all year..then maybe it wouldn't be so hard later. Her grin mirrored Rose's and, because seeing her friends put her in better spirits, she reached out and grabbed both of their hands to drag them somewhere through the gym. Not anywhere in particular, considering that there was no where to go, but just because she wanted to move around.

"In the meantime.." She started, fingers wrapping around both hands and squeezing. "I declare that we go about playing something. Twenty Questions? To Tell the Truth?"

"Twenty questions?" He was ready to be on another subject, one not him. "Haven't ever played that." He admitted, and after a second.. "Or the other one." And he wasn't sure he was so keen on playing a game with two girls. What if it turned out to be like that one he played in fifth year, where he had to kiss someone? He'd swore he'd never play one of James' stupid games again.

But this wasn't James' game, this was Tonks' game. And a questioning glance was sent Rose's way. He'd use her judgment on this one. If she thought it was safe enough to play, he'd be willing to do it. Heck, if it'd get the subject off of him for the rest of the day, he'd be eager to do it.

Rose smirked as she settled on the floor, looking up at the both of them. The witch and the wizard were two of her closest friends in this place. She'd tell them most anything. "Not like I have many secrets left around here," she commented with a casual shrug. "Except ones from my future being kept from even me! Bring it on, Ms. Tonks. Never played To Tell the Truth." Twenty Questions was kind of boring, but the other one sounded at least mildly amusing.

She grinned up at Remus' baby-face and worried expression and teased, "so long as we're not playing that Seven Minutes in Heaven game. What with only three of us, that could get old fast. And I'm pretty sure our little Remus might die of embarrassment!" Ah, she'd once loved that game. Stupid Brock Henderson.

She laughed, tugging Remus to join them and sit even as she was plopping onto the floor without even a modicum of grace. An impish smile appeared at the mention of Seven Minutes in Heaven and she glanced slyly to Remus. "There is a cupboard that I saw.." Teasing as well. But she grinned at the poor boy and gave a wink. No harm meant.

"Well, Miss Tyler, it works like this.." Older Remus got suckered into playing the game a time or two. And got doubly suckered when Tonks and Sirius, on one of those evenings she hung out with her cousin and his friend, started making up truths for Remus. Of course, there were the occasional zinger that came from the older man's way as well.

"You've got three statements. Two are porkies and one's the truth. The others figure out which is which." It'd be interesting with a Muggle who'd led an extraordinary life and a friend who hadn't been her friend at this age. "Or you can play it the other way were two are truth and one's a lie."

Remus slowly sat down as he was tugged, and folded his hands in his lap with a little breath. Okay, he could do this. No proble-- Oh Merlin were they talking about seven minutes in heaven? His features got darker, especially with the company that he was keeping at the moment. Thank goodness for the darkness around them.

"That sounds like a fun game." Sort of. "I like the one truth version." That way, not too many secrets were just spilled out everywhere. It sounded like a much better version. Hazel eyes were moving slowly over to Tonks first then back to Rose. Well, girls, he certainly wasn't going to start off this game, but he'd participate if you all wanted him to. He liked to please people, like the good puppy he was (okay, only good when it wasn't near the full moon).

"If you were just a couple of years older, it could be a drinking game," Rose teased, though as far as she knew there wasn't any alcohol around. "We'd have you with I Never, I'm sure." She flicked her tongue over her lower lip playfully, then leaned back on her hands, peering at the pair of them in the dimness of the gymnasium.

This game had serious potential. One of them was a wizarding werewolf, the other was a wizarding copper. She, though rather boring on her own, had at least seen some unbelievable things. There were going to be fanciful tales all over the place in this game, she was sure of that. "So how does it work? Like, I throw out two lies and a truth and you two decide on one? Or does one person guess and the next goes? So if I were to say... I snogged a boy for the first time when I was twelve, my mum's hair is dyed to match mine, and I hate the smell of leather... Who gets first call?" Okay, that was an easy one and completely basic. But she couldn't exactly start off with, 'I was attacked by an alien in the middle of Downing Street' now could she?

Tonks laughed at the idea of this game being a drinking one. "That would be interesting.." She eyed Remus with a playful grin and then turned back to Rose and nodded. "That's the way. An' we can both pipe in with whichever we think is the truth..which I think is the smell of leather..and you can tell us which one's right."

She stretched out short legs, crossing them at the ankles. "Another fun twist is the explanations why you think they're lies. Like I think you're rather a heartbreaker an' was kissing boys when you were still in the sandbox." Remus was not the only one who would get the good-natured ribbing. She looked over to her wizarding friend, eyebrows lifting. "Whatcha think, Remus?"

With the mention of alcohol, he was clearing his throat a little and shaking his head. He wouldn't be drinking around two pretty girls.. even if he'd had drinks before. Butterbeer, after all, would certainly give you a little rise. But he wouldn't drink it now if someone paid him to.

"I think," he began slowly, "That.. you didn't snog a boy until you were older than twelve, so that's a lie. And I don't know why anyone would hate the smell of leather, it's really a fantastic smell.. so I'd go with your mother dying her hair to match yours as being the truth." He sat back some as he said it. "My mother charms her hair to match my father's." A tidbit of information that he likely should have saved for this game.

If Remus were more adorable, Rose might burst. "I'm afraid Tonks is a bit closer on the kissing age, love," Rose said with a grin. "But twelve is definitely a lie." And the younger man should've known without a doubt that she didn't hate the smell of leather. She loved it. Adored it. If she hadn't before she'd started riding around in a big blue box, she would now. It was the smell of safety and comfort. It was the smell of being protected. "And I'm rather head over heels for the smell of leather, actually. So yeah, it's definitely the hair thing. Mum's is much lighter than mine. Which...isn't completely my own anyway," she added with a tiny laugh. She was still waiting for her roots to grow out to the point where someone said something. Ugh. Oh, well. A few highlights wouldn't be too terribly noticeable.

"So it looks like Remus gets this round," she joked, reaching out and nudging him her toe. "You lot can...charm your hair? Like, a magic spell to make your hair different?" Their world would never cease to amaze her.

Tonks chortled in amusement and placed her weight outstretched behind her. "Head over heels for leather." Mused with a thoughtful smile, nodding. Nosy witch absolutely adored this game. How else did you make getting to know someone so fun? And it was the go-rounds that hopefully made people feel more at ease and less like they were being interrogated.

"Remus gets the round..and gets to go next." Said with an impish grin, but fell into comfortable quiet to let Remus explain about the charms for features. Tonks, being one big features charm rolled into a person, never paid much attention to those types of spells.

Remus nodded his understanding as Rose explained, and a small smile crept out over his face. He often won at games like this.. anything he had to use his brain with, because when he was with his mates? Well, he was certainly the brains of the group. But he loved them all the same. "Yes, we can.. it changes the color, the length, the texture.. whatever spell you use. I'd show you, but.." No wands. He shrugged up his shoulders some, glancing briefly to Tonks, before looking back at Rose. Okay, his turn? Two lies and a truth, right?

"Green is my favorite color." He began slowly. "I once went as a Princess for Halloween, and I have a cat." Now, Tonks might have an advantage in this situation.. since she'd known Remus so well in his older age. But favorite colors changed often and he certainly hadn't ever told her about being a Princess for Halloween.. but she'd be very aware that animals ran from him upon the first smell. He couldn't get within thirty feet of anything not human.

It was more than his brain that was winning the game. Remus was an intuitive young man. Rose had always known that. Except that bit where he'd thought the Doctor was her father. Couple, yes, parent and child? Not quite! Otherwise? Remus was slightly brilliant with the reading people thing. He always seemed to know the people around him, even without talking to them.

While she considered the choices, Rose shifted to lay on her stomach, her head propped in her hands like a kid at a sleepover. May as well, this felt like one of those games they would've played at a sleepover. "I... This is a trick question, isn't it?" she asked thoughtfully. "I mean... I can't picture you wandering around in a princess costume. That's just goofy. But it seems to obvious." There were downfalls about being as smart as Remus was. People got on to you if you made it too simple. "And I think you look better in blue, so... I'm going with the first one. Green."

Knowing Remus when he was older was both a boon and a burden in this game. Boon because she had particular knowledge about things, but burden because people could (and did) change when they got older. And Tonks only knew the older one. There was a moment of respite in playing this game with friends, like nites where she and Sirius and Remus would stay up late and do ridiculous things. Just to fend off the overhanging sense of impending worry. The content made hair, which hadn't seen colour in a while, shift into a subtle red. Well, Weasley Red wasn't subtle per se. But moreso than the pinks and greens and blues that her hair tended to go. Natural? Something.

She was also debating the merits of Remus' answers. The having a cat one was automatically tossed out. Animals weren't too keen on him, poor dear. His favourite colour was blue when he was older..but could logically be green when he was younger..but having the boys dress up as princesses (or Polyjuice into girls entirely) seemed very Marauder dare like. So she was staring at the younger wizard in contemplation, and then grinned. Tonks was going with obvious. Remus would be very purloined letter about it, after all. Hide what you want to hide in front of everyone's faces. "You lot dressed up as princesses? Whose idea was that?"

He waited until Rose answered before looking at Tonks.. but then she called him on it, and he flushed deeply and looked down at his hands, then shook his head and looked up again, smiling. "James, it was his idea." Then he turned his head to explain to Rose. "James is a mate of mine, we attend school together, he and his best mate, Sirius, are always getting us into trouble.. well, mostly getting the two of them into trouble. Sometimes he drags Peter, our other mate, and me along with him. But Peter and I are so well behaved that even when we get caught, sometimes we're let off the hook because the Professors don't really believe that we could have been in on the silly prank." With that explained, he was smiling more brightly, remembering his friends.

"It was Halloween, last year. James thought it'd be brilliant if two out of four of us went as Princesses to the ball, so that we'd all have dates." Since they certainly hadn't had dates, James had been pining for Lily and Sirius had turned down girls left and right. Why? Because of the plan. "James and I ended up in dresses and I went with Peter, while James went with Sirius. I don't even know how I got talked into it, something about being a coward." The werewolf laughed and rubbed a hand through sandy hair. "I'm easy to goad if you know what buttons to push."

For a long moment, Rose simply stared at the teenager. He'd actually done it? Really? But her stare quickly faded because she had to close her eyes while she giggled. "Seriously?" she sputtered, grinning widely. "Seriously? You wore a pretty princess dress? Did you use those beauty charms to make yourself look lovely?"

She grinned up at him, reaching over to poke his knee. "No, no, what I want to know is, if you could wear high heels. Even I hate wearing them and I'm a girl. The uh, biological sort," she added with a snicker. Glancing up at Tonks, she smiled brightly. Personally, she couldn't wait to hear the witch's truth. And the two lies the girl was bound to create.

She knew it! Giggling as well, half in imagining Remus in a dress and half because Rose's giggle were infectious, she flashed Remus a grin and waggled her eyebrows playfully. Then pointedly looked over to Rose, "Don't let his innocent face fool ya. The Marauders are full of stories like that! Somma which are his brainchilldren for sure." Calling her friend out twice, Tonks was.

Squirming where she was, since it was her turn, the redhead thought about it. "Mm.." Then, once she decided on her statements, Tonks lifted her eyebrows. "One of my favourite colours is brown.." She began thoughtfully, "I was Head Girl, and nearly got kicked out of Auror training for impersonating my instructor and fooling people with it." Really, any of them could have been true (save for the brown thing).

Remus flushed deeper when Rose got on him about the princess problem, but he continued to smile. "No, we forewent the make-up, but we did grow our hair out and twist it up," he made a gesture upwards with his hand as if to indicate. "And no high-heels, thank goodness, I think I would have broken my ankle. I'm afraid I'm not the graceful sort. Not really." But he was nothing like clumsy Tonks.

And as the statements came, he paused and thought on them for a second before pointing to her hair. "Brown isn't your favorite color," Since brown was never in her hair. "And I don't think that if you wanted to be an Auror badly enough that you went to the trouble of getting into the program and beginning your training, that you'd risk being thrown out for something silly like that.. so I'm going with the bit about you being Head Girl." Logic won out. Always.

Well, Rose couldn't exactly pick the same as Remus now, could she? Sure, she physically could, but where would be the fun in that? Though there was one she'd have to rule out no matter what. "Your favourite colour is not brown," she confirmed as if it were obvious. And really, it should be! The girl was far too spunky and fun. Besides, her little self had preferred bright and fun colours. No way was she going to settle for drab brown as an adult. "And you know, I can't really see you as a Head Girl sort. No offense," she added with a grin.

Though she pretended to think it over, she'd had her mind made up almost right away. "Knowing you, you just thought it was in good fun. I think you pissed off your instructor in witch copper school." Auror training? Not nearly as fun to say!

Though excitable and never particularly one not to show her emotions, Tonks could bottle it in when she needed to. So when Remus made his guess, she was nodding. It could be right. She certainly had wanted to be an Auror desperately. Of course, older Remus would have seen right through her statements and known all too well that Tonks would not have been Head Girl material and would have had an innocent laugh as such. But younger Remus, clever as he was, wouldn't take too long at all to come to the same conclusion. Tonks was relatively (read very) sure of it.

She listened to Rose's logic with the same ambivalent agreeance, though looked mock hurt when Rose said she didn't seem Head Girl material. "I'm wounded, Rose Tyler! Positively wounded!" But she was grinning and motioning her head as if to say 'well..' Then nudged Remus' foot with her own playfully.

"Rose got this one. It was actually makin' fun of one instructor that saved my ass in the end. The other one, Moody, thought it was ace how I got Dawlish spot on." And so the girl who whizzed through Disguise proved her worth..even if Stealth came a little harder.
