What: Gambit keeps his promise.
Where: At the Church
When: Day 23, 10:02pm
Rating: PG-13
Status: Complete

'Church, ten o'clock' the Doctor had said. Thankfully, the mutant was able to read his digital wrist watch with no problem. It had a little feature where you could push the button and it lit up. How cool was that? So after watching the Time Lord walk off into the darkness, he had turned back around to watch the fire burning down the barn. Really, it was fantastic to behold, and though he idly wondered if the smoke would fill up the bubble and kill them all.. he wasn't really that concerned. This enclosure was huge, after all.. and there had to be some sort of exchange going on, right? Else they would have run out of oxygen long ago.

While standing there watching the barn burn, Selene had come along.. the Cajun had been more than happy to indulge her for a while, before finally he'd collected up the buckets of water, his washing board, and various other items, and had taken them across town towards the church. He'd only been there a handful of times, but he had enjoyed it, it was peaceful. So it was at ten o'clock that the Cajun, hauling along three buckets full of water, five water bottles, three empty buckets, a washing board, and a little red wagon (all rusted and ugly, but still working) down the road to the Church. He would, of course, end up having to turn into the woods, but he just took it slow from there, until he was passing by the cemetery, slowing his steps to rake red eyes out across the graves. There were at least two bodies in there, Selene had said she'd buried them there.. idly, he wondered who they were. But he wouldn't dwell on it. The strictly Catholic-Raised Cajun (except for Tante Mattie, who was into voodoo) mentally repeated a prayer, though he'd lost his faith long ago. It was habit.

And just moments later, he was coming to a stop in front of that church and leaving the red wagon behind as he went up the stairs, pushing open those double doors and stepping on through. He hadn't ever been inside the church.. but as he stepped through the doors, he felt a little shiver. That was what faith did to you, kids. It made you feel like God was watching you all the time. And right now, he felt a little paranoid about it -- Sinners didn't want God watching them all the time.

When the Doctor reminded him that he said he'd do anything, his muscles relaxed a little again and he slumped back against the wall, taking a few breaths to try and calm himself down. Anything. Right. He could let the Doctor do anything, as long as it made him happy, right? As long as it fixed him?

Was this really going to fix him? His fingers tightened on that shoulder. But he was still for a moment, maybe he could do this. Maybe he could just relax, and it'd feel good, and his Doctor would calm down, and it'd be good. Maybe. "D'accord, jus'.." Yeah right. Like you could go through with this, mutant.

He could feel those muscles relax and the Doctor was pulling his thigh away, watching the Cajun closely for a slow release of breath. When that came and went the Time Lord was swift, grabbing the Cajun's shoulder and turning him around. He knew how you moved, Remy. He could anticipate you as well as you might anticipate him - well, at least when you weren't freaked out of your mind and dealing with a version of him you hardly recognized.

Didn't you say before he was off? Didn't you know the minute he'd manufactured that gun from nothing that he wasn't safe anymore? Yet, you'd followed him into this room and you'd relaxed for him. Stupid Cajun.

The Doctor was pushed up against the Cajun's back, a hand lacing atop one of the man's others, fusing it with the wall. It was all about need now. All about what this Gallifreyan wanted. All about the pain he could inflict on someone else.

This wasn't anybody's Doctor.

He had relaxed. He'd managed it. But when he was so suddenly jerked and turned and shoved up against the wall, red eyes got wide and he pressed his free hand into that wood and tried to twist the other away, so he could press it into the wall, too. "Non!" He snapped out. "Ain' okay wit' 'dis. Lemme up. Now. Ain' wanna do 'dis righ' now. Leggo!" Your Cajun had changed his mind, Doctor. But were you really going to listen? He was jerking a leg, trying to get it out of the jeans, but it was stuck, so he had no leverage with his feet, just his arms and the press of his naked body into the wall.

He wanted to be away from that wall. He wanted that cool body away from his. Now. "Ge' off!"

In a far off place in the back of the Time Lord's mind, where the frightened little boy ran and hid and all those vulnerabilities locked up tight the Time Lord wasn't alright with this, either. Though, no part of him was listening to that voice anyway. He was listening to the feeling of power. He was gripping to the sensation of control. He was feeling an echo of that untouchable invulnerability -- and he was reveling in it.

"No."

He said this flatly, tugging down the last of the fabric that was between them and none too carefully setting up to take what he'd been promised.

"Ge' offa me! Now!" It was a sharper demand, as his boxer-briefs were tugged down. "Non!" He pushed hard against the wall, twisting his body some as he did, and he was able to lift his elbow and jerk it back as hard as he could, hitting the poor Doctor square in the jaw with it and turning as he did, crouching immediately to break the leverage there and thrusting out his fist into the Time Lord's gut, hitting hard enough to knock the wind from him. Then he was leaning back into the wall and hauling his boxer-briefs back up his thighs and over his body as quickly as he could manage. Naked hands were hauling his jeans up seconds later.

"Fuck you!" Those words were shouted angrily at the Doctor as he managed to get his pants up and back onto his feet, red eyes narrowing down at the older man. "Don' touch me."

He couldn't compensate for the turn of the body between he and the wall in time and with a crack and a vision of bright stars, the Doctor realized the impact of bone upon bone. Then came the punch to his gut and the Doctor was stumbling backward, tripping over the pool of fabric at his ankles and landing less than gracefully on his rear. If it had been some other situation where he wasn't trying to rape his lover, this might have been comical.

Instead, he was dazed a moment, a sharp tang of metal in his mouth as blood flowed from the reopened wound in his cheek. That brought him back - back to the fury and the rage. The Doctor was swiftly pulling his own trousers up and he was charging the Cajun.

"Oh, what's 'no' mean between us?" He yelled, slamming his body into the other man's, attempting to get him back up against that wall. Because, really, how many times had the Time Lord said no and you'd ignored it, Remy?

He hadn't been ready for that rush back, he'd been expecting the Doctor to be out for the count. But he wasn't, and the other man was back on his feet and rushing forward, slamming into him and forcing him back up against the wall again. But this time, he was able to spread his legs and get some leverage. He could win this, if it came to brute strength. No question.

"I sai' no, an' no means no when we talkin' 'bou' havin' sex!" He was gripping onto the Time Lord's biceps and shoving him back away as best he could, trying to end this scuffle without any more hits to the face. "Jus' ge' 'de fuck 'way from me! You makin' me sick t' look a' you!" His stomach was twisting. You'd almost raped him, Doctor. You were still trying to! "Ge' y' han's offa me!"

Hands to his arms and thrusting back again, the Doctor again stumbled backward. He was still a bit off, wasn't he? Still a bit weak? Perhaps slightly off center. Whatever it was, he was pausing, bending over to spit bright red to the floor. He couldn't think of swallowing any more blood. He couldn't consider keeping it in his mouth. It made his stomach turn.

With a deep breath and a growl the Doctor was righting himself, walking with slow, deliberate steps to close the gap between them. How close would you be letting him get, Remy?

Not close enough to grab him again. He was lashing out with a foot to kick him in the chest and knock him back a few steps-- that is, if the Time Lord didn't manage to catch his leg in the process. All this movement was causing his chest to hurt. A cough was coming on and he could feel it, it'd incapacitate him for a moment while it wracked his body, but he couldn't afford that right now. He needed the Doctor to back off first. He needed space between them.

"Non! Jus' back 'de fuck off! M' serious! G'wan!" A hand swung up beside him and gripped that wooden cross, hauling it off the wall and pointing it towards the Doctor, charging it up pink as he did. It turned quickly to red and started to smoke. But he'd blow himself up along with you, Doctor. Did you think he would? Rather than be raped, do you think he'd die? Because that cross, as big as it was, might just kill you both.

The feeling as that foot impacted the bruising on his chest was indescribable. The only thing the Doctor could do was yelp and double over, whimpering.

Through tearing eyes he could see a soft pink glow on the floor and he knew what the Cajun was doing. He didn't know with what, but he knew what the other could do. The Doctor, Remy LeBeau, wasn't going anywhere. No, he was stuck in that moment hunched over, eyes tearing and breathing jagged.

If you wanted to get away, now was the time.

Did you think he'd really stop? Had Charles stopped when you'd begged him to? Did you think once he could breathe again and see again he'd apologize? Even if he did, would you believe him?

The Doctor started to shake with rage and fear. It was as uncontrollable as the feeling in his lungs as he tried to inhale and felt a sharp stab as his body refused.

Good for you, Remy, you'd taken his control away yet again.

No. He didn't think he'd stop, he had in the beginning, but not anymore. And even if he did apologize, he wouldn't believe. The cross slowly bled brown again, and once the charge was gone, the Cajun threw the cross down on the ground in front of the Doctor.

"Hail Mary, full o' grace, asshole." Sniped down to the Doctor, as he moved around him, bent to grab his shirt at the door, then walked out of the office, without a single glance back. He'd pull the shirt on over his head once he passed the altar, only to find that his hands and arms were shaking. That was when he realized how quick his heart was beating, and that his body was trembling some. The high was wearing off and he was starting to realize just how terrified he'd been-- and still was. Holy shit.

What had just happened?

Whatever the other man had just spat down at him was hardly heard, though, he saw that cross that had formerly been on the wall. He looked it over, the grotesque image of another culture's deity looking up at him lifelessly.

Good job, Time Lord.

The Doctor, once the shaking had subsided a little, walked to the door, took his coats from the edge, and he pulled the door shut and locked it. He leaned there against the wood, willing his brain to stop from running. Trying to stop himself from replaying what he'd just done over and over again.

Instead, he laid down on the dirty floor and he coiled himself up into a tight ball and the Doctor cried. It was a shaking, screaming, terrible thing that overtook him and it left him feeling just as powerless as before. It left him just as broken as before.

What had happened to you, all powerful Time Lord?
