"Sort of, yeah," he admitted, but he was smiling. Sometimes he could be too cocky, and admittedly, sometimes he was too modest. But he thought he had a right to be proud; for a long time he'd felt like a useless part of the team and he was ever so slowly moving up to become something important. Cutter had even trusted him at the very end, put him in charge of something far more important than the dinosaur database or even the anomaly detector. He'd trusted him with the team.
But the way the beautiful woman had said 'modern' technology threw him off a bit. His eyebrows lifted and Connor studied her for a moment. "As opposed to what, the inner workings of the telegraph?" he teased. "Maybe Bell's first phone system? I might be able to figure those out, given some time. And time travel." Though that last bit was said jokingly, he knew it wasn't as far a cry as some might've once thought.
