Day 22 Morning
Who: Zombie!Jay and OTA
What: Home sweet WhatTheFuck
Where: The Not Quick Stop.
When: Day 22; 8:00 am
Rating: PG-13 (maybe a soft R for violence, we'll see)
Status: Active

Darkness cloaked the world of Vas Captio of which Jay had once been a vulgarity-spewing part, even as the sun should have been coming up. Morning had come, but one wouldn't know it based on the lack of light and lazy drizzle of not-quite rain.

A figure who was tall and thin, with long, matted blond hair ambled slowly toward the gas station, once known to him as the Not Quick Stop. The blonde hair once lanky and laying flat down his back and over his shoulders was now sopping wet and knotted, gnarled by the water in which he'd died and in which he walked.

His clothes hung heavily on his bloated body; the whole of him looking as waterlogged as he was. Moans and groans of hunger issued from his lips as he dragged himself forward toward the Not Quick Stop.

Once upon a time the Not Quick Stop had been good for chips and beer. Now all Jay wanted was a snack of a different kind. On the menu today...brains. Delicious.

As much as it sickened him to think of it, the sound of the rock making contact was loud enough to hear and it did not sound like the side of the station or any building for that matter. If anything, it sounded like bones breaking. Breaking the way his left arm had after his stupid stunt off his bedroom window. Breaking the way like crippled bone would when you were a rotting zombie corpse; crunching. He tried to shake the thoughts loose from his head (understandably, they weren't such pleasant thoughts, were they?), and calculated his distance to be roughly seven to eight feet from his position. Judging from the time it took for the rock to make impact..

Jim heard the growl and once again, the zombie was getting too close for comfort. He only had seconds to consider his next move, and damnit Jim! The zombie isn't going to wait for you! Your brains may not be Spock's but brains are brains! Get on it!!

Fight or flight. Fight or flight!

He steadied his hold and readied the swing of his ax. When the stench was too much to bear, he swung, his sweaty palms holding thick wood tightly.

Jay was closing in. Angry, hungry, and anxious, he made his way closer, arms flailing uselessly around as he went on grabbing at thin air in search of the human he could smell getting closer and closer with every step the dead man took. He tried, again, to speak and once more only garbled sounds came out, with his broken nose and swollen tongue, it was impossible for Jay to form any intelligible words.

Just as he was about to close in on the human - and he was so close, Jay could nearly taste the brains already - the zombie felt a blunt impact on his side. A dull, throbbing pain overcame him and he let out a loud yelp of pain and anger. Reaching forward, he snagged ahold of hair - hair was on the head and brains were on the inside! - pulling hard and trying to tilt the head far enough to the side that he could disable the human by ripping the man's throat out with his teeth. The blood would be a delicious appetizer; shit, Jay could hardly wait to taste it.
