She couldn't believe she was doing this. It wasn't her fault Gambit had gotten sick. If he was sick he was that way before he came to her, all cut up and bleeding and practically begging to be a snack. And she certainly hadn't tasted any sickness... although, she was admittedly more distracted by the rather potent kick his blood had to it. That boy may have been mortal but he wasn't human, not in the traditional sense. Human blood didn't taste like that. Even now she could feel the heat flowing through her veins.

So by her count it wasn't her fault he was sick, but she certainly didn't want him to become fatally ill either. After all, if she wanted him dead she would have taken care of that this morning. She didn't particularly care for the note either -- great, how many more people were going to find out what she was? -- but at least it wasn't as gruff and demanding as it could have been.

As she had no way of knowing if any of the tunnels might take her to the gym, Selene reluctantly returned to the church. She did take the opportunity though to replace the chest atop the door. A quick check of her map in the dying light had her groaning. The gym was clear across town. Of course it was. Rolling her eyes, the vampire threw open the door and paid the birds no mind as she sprinted her way to the gym. She arrived no worse for wear, though once she stopped so she could open the door a few birds tried to attack her. A swat of her arm sent them in the opposite direction and she ducked inside, pulling the door shut as a few more thudded against it. And now, the hard part.

Hair was pushed out of her face as she strode over to the area that clearly served as the clinic, eyes skimming the area though she didn't know a thing about medicine. "Alright. Who's a doctor?" she snapped, tone a little harsh. She wanted to get this over with. And never mind those few smears of blood on her coat and bodysuit, it wasn't her blood.

Selene shrugged, looking confused yet irritated about the whole situation. "I've no idea, there's so many people around this place calling themselves doctors. Perhaps there's one staying at the museum, that was the last place I saw him." Well, under the museum, but that really wasn't important. She assumed that was where Gambit still was. God, she hoped he was still there. She really didn't feel like running all over this place avoiding birds just to take him some medicine.

As he explained what it was her brow furrowed, and she again thought back to earlier in the day when she had been with Gambit. "Sounds painful." She absently remembered the boy rubbing at his chest a few times, but she hadn't particularly thought anything of it. After all, the wounds from the birds were everywhere, surely they had to itch or otherwise be uncomfortable.
