Truth was, Rose hadn't thought anything of Chris being part witch. Quite frankly, after meeting Tonks and learning of her abilities, not to mention spending a great deal of the previous day with her six year-old self, she didn't think much of witchcraft other than it was probably a pretty cool talent to have. So when the young boy had written all sorts of magical things in his journal, she'd only given it a passing glance, really. So what if he was? Unless he planned to use those witchy powers to kill them all, she was cool with it. When he'd said he had ways around the birds, she hadn't actually expected it to be magical. In fact, she kind of just thought he was trying to talk big.

So when the glowing lights appeared in the middle of the gymnasium, Rose's mouth dropped open. Seriously? Okay, so maybe they could all die here. However, it was possibly the coolest place she'd ever been. A woman who could change her appearance at will and now a man--correction, a very good-looking man--who could appear in one place and then another? Yeah. She enjoyed. She enjoyed a great deal.

"You weren't playing around when you said you could get around the birds, were you?" she said with a stunned tone. After all, it wasn't every day you ran into someone who could pull that one off! She'd been sitting on the far wall of the gym, minding her own business. Patching Andy up had proven she was way out of her league with all these smart doctoral types and she was keen on keeping to herself. That and...well, she was still reeling from the previous day's revelations. Sorry to say. But she'd hopped up when Chris' lights had started forming, and she'd watched him in amazement. What do you know, Rose Tyler could still be amazed by something. "Chris, I assume?" she asked with a giggle. Who else could it be!
