It was a relief to him when she stirred and woke up. For all he knew they had all been under some spell, knocked out and in a coma-like sleep while their younger selves wandered around the place, and as long as they slept their younger selves would still be around. Or at least that was the sort of conclusion Chris would come to if he were back in his own world.
"Unfortunately." he replied as he watched the realization hit her the same as it had hit him. Chris really wished it wasn't. And not just because some of his own secrets had come out, though he suspected secrets were hard to keep in a place like this.
While she looked through hers Chris checked his own journal quick, and was doubly relieved to see Connor had responded. He didn't know exactly where the clock tower was but at least his new friend was alright. Funny how quickly bonds could be made in high-stress situations. He was putting his journal away, tucking it in the back pocket of his jeans since there was nowhere else for it, when she posed the question and he shrugged. "I have no freaking idea. I mean, I've got guesses as to how it could be done where I'm from, but I have no idea what kind of rules and limitations there are." At least there was magic here, or he would be royally screwed. Chris furrowed his brow briefly as he tried to put a name to her face. "Illyana, right?"
