Isabela was pretty sure that Jurassic Park had been mentioned a few times during the whole debacle - as a cautionary tale, but that hadn't stopped people from getting wrecked by dinosaurs. Big sigh. "That's the one!" she concurred brightly. "And you just let me know when you want to come down by the docks, love. Though I'm there almost everyday." She loved being by the water, cheeks kissed by salty air and listening to the lap of the waves, their percussive rhythm along the sand - it was soothing in a way few things were, the echo of a familiar drumbeat in her land-weary heart.
"I don't need shadows - it's essentially disappearing and reappearing behind someone to stab them," she explained matter-of-factly. Surely Ava had used that trick too - she seemed the wily type. "But I'm what we call a rogue. I spent a good portion of my life learning certain abilities. People who practice magic learn theirs, and so forth. Some are better in battle but not so good at the covert stuff. You know what I mean?"
