Ava often found herself amusing enough by her own standards, but knew her attempts at humor often fell flat when shared with others. So the woman's laugh drew a small smile that she attempted hiding behind the clear cup. But it was nice to meet somebody that wasn't entirely a do-gooder after realizing just how many Avengers from her own reality were lurking about, didn't feel that weird need to try acting on her best behavior to avoid scrutiny. She relaxed slightly, elbows propped on the counter to take the weight off the rest of her.
The flavors of the drink were such a confusing mixture that Ava could not begin to discern what any of them were, every sip seemed to pick up a different unidentifiable note. She pondered them for a moment while trying to think of the best way to answer Isabela's question. "It's a lot of boring quantum physics," she admitted, knew most people were not experts in the field and most of the terms were not easy to explain. A pirate especially had better things to do than study particles and waves. "I split into different possibilities, sometimes. Other times I'm... I am and I am not. I came pretty close to permanently not."
She twirled a strand of her own hair, not wanting to go down much further on that topic. Which meant needing to change it. "So tell me more about this whole... swashbuckling adventure. Any of that here?"
