Nobody was going to poison her. Nobody knew who she was or that she would be here at this particular place ordering from this specific bottle. Thatโd be a lot of weird effort just for a rather boring murder, far too convoluted to make any sense. But Ava stared down a bit suspiciously at the amber liquid in the glass pushed across the bar to her. Before finally grasping it in both hands, making sure her grip was secure before raising it to her lips to take a careful taste.
Most alcohol really wasnโt made to be drank in such a way. While it wasnโt necessarily unpleasant it was a lot to take in all at once, and Ava quickly corrected it by taking a larger gulp to wash the burning down with more. She was still wincing when she picked up on the fact that somebody was talking. A quick glance off over her shoulder to the side past her, to the bartender that had turned away, then over to the woman before confirming that the talking was at her. Ava took in her striking beauty, looked as if she were simultaneously too good for a place like this and yet somehow fit right into the environment with ease. Before the words caught up to her.
โAss juice,โ she repeated with a small sense of wonder, a glance back down to her glass and wishing she had ordered that instead. At least there would be novelty to it. โI hope itโs ethically sourced from local organic free range ass,โ she joked in a low tone.
