This place does not make it easy to make connections that actually count.

Focusing on work and school to an extreme is probably on healthy to a point.

I like to think that they all count, some way. It hurts more when you're close though, but not connecting with people is so lonely and quiet.

I get it. I was terrible at letting anyone in before Aramis and I'm still not always great at it. Must be harder for someone used to having a pack though.

We do. She's great. I'll be lucky if I turn out to be half the person she is. It's hard to think about her though, or anyone else back home.
