I want to keep this as light-hearted as possible!

What's the funniest thing that's happened to you in Vallo, so far?

I got taken hostage by geese once. Does that count.

Oh! One time we tried to take eleven people to Olive Garden and we had one car and so we had to Tetris everyone in and it was only after we got everyone in by probably defying the laws of physics or something, that Squall remembered he’d brought his motorcycle.

Okay so can you tell me more about this geese story?

Not too much to tell, really. It was back in June when the geese were causing all that mischief. I came across the geese lair with a couple other people and we ended up getting held hostage by the geese. They ended up releasing us in exchange for food.

But the other people were pretty great.

I guess it's a good thing, at least, that geese are food motivated!

They were definitely that.

What about you? Anything especially funny happen to you?

I'm having trouble picking like, the most funny thing, you know?

That's fair. I've had plenty of fun things, but not necessarily funny.

Are you going to tell us about the funniest thing that's happened to you?

I’m still trying to decide which incident to pick, honestly.

Have you been here that long?

I can't think of anything funny that's happened just yet. I've only been here a month.

Yeah, a little over a year and a half at this point. So - I’ve actually been here longer than most people. It’s weird to think about sometimes, but — how are you liking it here? So far?

A year and a half? That's a long time to be away from home. I like it here. Everyone seems pretty nice and no one's trying to kill me.

It’s a really — really long time to be away. I miss my aunt so much just - every single day. I hope she’s okay. I was gone from home in some kind of pocket dimension for five years, once, too. So I’m really hoping this eventually stops happening.

Jeez I’m real sorry that people want to kill you back home. I’m glad it’s better here!

I'm sorry you've had to go through all of that and that your aunt isn't here. I'm a little homesick after a month. I couldn't imagine what it would be like to be gone for five years.

Just one. My great-great-etc grandfather. It's a lot better. I'll get to finish school too

You don't have to tell me why they were trying to kill you or anything but that sounds super intense and I'm sorry that's something you had to deal with.

Do you have any friends here? Anyone you know?

It's fine. I've told other people. He's an aging vampire. If he drinks my blood he'll regain his youth and his powers. It's a whole thing.

I have Archie and Sabrina but they, technically, aren't my Archie and Sabrina. Do you have anyone from home here?

Sounds like he just really needs to chill and probably die. No offense.

Yeah! There’s a few people from my home I don’t know too well, but are nice to me, like Bucky Barnes. But the person here I’m closest with is probably like — my old work mentor? Who is basically like my guardian or whatever now. I’m old enough I don’t really need one but it’s — nice. To have someone. It makes it easier here, I think.

None taken. I agree with you. He needs to die.

I understand. Having someone familiar around in a place that's definitely not home makes it a little easier to adjust. It doesn't stop you from missing home but it helps that you aren't completely alone. I'm glad you have your guardian/work mentor around.

I'm Veronica, by the way.

And I'm glad you have people that are at least a little familiar, I know it's strange but it's also good to just like. Have something that reminds you of home. Sometimes people get... things. Like, things from home just show up here. I'm not really sure how it works but I think that's cool.

Veronica is a really pretty name - I've always liked it. But yeah - Hi! I'm Peter!

Sabrina did mention something about that. Did you have something from home show up?

Thanks. Hi, Peter. I like your name, too. We should hang out sometime soon.

I got to use a hyena to rescue a cowboy from a goose.
