Apologies to anyone near the pond by the Quills this morning, I was attacked by what looked like a devilish, evil sort of flying seahorse? I've had a few friends in my life that wouldn't have minded adding knives to their tails, but this just seems a bit extreme for all parties involved.

But! If your walls shook or you heard an annoyingly loud screech, that was me dispatching the beast, so the pond is safe again for the time being. But it did a good job at scaring the fish away, much to my annoyance.

Keep alert, my friends.

[MUSKETEERS]

Before you get worried, I'm no worse for wear than that tavern fight in le Havre. I doubt the cut will even scar. You're welcome to tell me how magnificent my song sounded, though, it's been a while.
[OOC: Anyone that lives in the Quills or visiting or could be nearby is free to have heard and felt (like a vibrating earthquake goes through them for a few seconds) his siren scream! It wouldn't harm you but it might make you feel a little woozy for a minute.]

Oh yeah, I'm fine. Bit like when you drink too much and it catches up all at once, but seems right as rain now. You sure you don't need the patrol team to come by?

With some I usually have to do a follow-up to set them right, did I make your knees go weak? It might serve to check the surrounding areas, but I didn't see anything else around?

You mighta. Just a little. Be good to look around though, you're right. Sounds like they'd be a real problem in a pack.

Oh, most likely. Or an issue for someone if they catch them unawares. If I didn't have good reflexes, I might be sporting more than just a few light scratches.

Glad it wasn't too painful for ya. Did they seem like they had to stay near the water?

I don't know if it was a preference or a need, unfortunately. It seemed to fly above it, and didn't actually stay in the water, if that helps.

It helps in the way that means we don't waste time sticking to water locations, sure.

Cloud above seems to know more than I do. My general feeling is forest, but I've never encountered any creature like this before.
