I'm thinking about encouraging the men in my life to take me to this moon party tomorrow. Is anyone else going? I can't tell what the dress code is. I assume casual but "dress fly and catch these fresh beats" wasn't exactly illuminating. Maybe one of the other flyers will be more helpful.

It was a pleasure to watch you all showcase your skills and knowledge. Thank you for sharing them with everyone. I did a little networking while I was there at the event and I have a new list of locals with an interest in particular magics and either the money to back up that interest or at least useful connections to provide. If you run into a need for a new job or more resources, let me know. I might have a lead for you.

	The magic diversity here always manages to astound me, even ~~six~~ two years since arriving. Even when people have similar focuses, the way they do or use that magic can vary widely. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	It is really something. Magic was so restricted at home that I knew very little about it. My mother wouldn't have cared for such displays of power she had no control over, not unless she was sure she could bend it to her will anyway. But I think they're fascinating. 	Magic was used daily in my house but outside of it we had to hide what we could do. It's still like that most places back home, but I'm generally moving between the realms that are more open about it. Nowhere as free with it as Vallo. This place is big on acceptance. 	I hated lying to my friends and found that some really like to abuse their power when it's a secret. Or abuse the power they have over others. So I like it open. Ah, yeah, that would do it. 	That's very understandable. Power does tend to corrupt, and thoroughly. I value my privacy but I do know there's a level of forthright communication necessary to build bonds and remain ethical. 	It feels like anything can corrupt as long as someone wants more of it. Power, knowledge, cake. But I think you're right about communication being a key necessity do it doesn't. It's the only reason he had me. Sucks for him I'm stubborn and more likely to sacrifice myself for the world than take it over. Did she try to push you into it as well? 	Well. That is lucky for the world. As for my mother, she did her best to raise a strong leader the way she felt only a strong leader could be. I chose my own path and got exiled for it. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)
