I think I've reached the point of staying inside my apartment where if I am inside for one more moment, I will probably go insane. I don't think I can watch any more TV or movies.

LENA LUTHOR

As I'm allowed to actually move around more, I'd like to repay you for the burger from the other day. Also I need a break from Do you have anywhere here you like to go for food?

Hovering's just a way to show some love. I'm happy to hear you've got company - it's nice to have a familiar face in an unknown place.

I've admittedly not been very adventurous in regards to finding out what the culinary hot spots are. The place I ordered you a burger from is part of a chain from the world I'm from and a comfort food of mine.

It is a bit complicated, but that's not entirely abnormal.

I have only just arrived, so I cannot say I have been either. But I am happy to go somewhere you already like. Maybe we can adventure later on when it comes to food.

Which part's complicated?

I'm still fresh here myself but I've kept myself occupied with work. It's typically how I prefer things to be though I will definitely not say no to trying out something new? Assuming your recovery allows a food coma.

He was there when I was killed. Like I said, it was his sword, but he didn't do the stabbing. I think when the stabbing happened, he realized what he'd done in teaming up with Tyrian. And he's already apologized for it. But also listening to James at his most paranoid likely didn't help make him feel like he had any other choice. So...complicated. There's probably more to it, but we've only spoken once and I'm not entirely ridiculous.

I usually spend a lot of time at work as well. Just doesn't seem to be the same set up here. I believe no one can complain if I am in a food coma except for me and I'm okay with it.

Oh, right - you did mention him previously. How do you feel about having him around? Aside from the aforementioned 'complicated.'

I'd also love to hear about what you did for work? Maybe we can find something equivalent for you here.

Yes. Relieved and anxious at the same time.

I was a hunter. One of Atlas' Ace Operatives. We were chosen for our skill to protect Atlas and Mantle from both the Grimm and people.

I'm happy to at least try and distract you from that anxiety. When's a good time to embark on this outing for you?

Hunting monsters, that sort of thing? I heard there's some contracts you can pick up at the forest for certain beasts causing issues to the locals there.

I'm remarkably free considering my lack of anything. So I can work around your schedule.

Yeah. I'm hoping my weapon shows up before I start hunting monsters here.

How's Wednesday sound? Unless something catastrophic occurs and I have to delve deep into communication tech for the DOA, I'm open.

That would be a wise choice. Same with fully recovering from your injuries, I'd imagine.

Wednesday works for me. If something happens, just tell me where to show up and I'll bring the food to you and you can tell me what to do to help you out.

I do not need more hovering, so I'm voting yes.

Noted. Fuel may be necessary.

What kind of weapon did you have, if you don't mind my asking? I know you mentioned getting stabbed with a sword and if it's something like that I know there's some blacksmiths in the area that can help hold you over.

It's...don't laugh at me because I know it's going to sound strange, but...it's a iron fishing pole. I can use it as a grappling hook and it's easy enough to work with tripping people up or restraining them if necessary. The tip of it is pretty sharp, but it's not a sword that can turn into a scythe, but I work with a team. It's called Kingfisher. I built it myself.

I grew up in a small fishing village when I was a kid.

If you think I'd laugh then you have more to learn about me - I actually find that fascinating. Was the weapon designed with any magic that triggers that or no?

Iโ€™ve met with both. No magic, no. Doesnโ€™t run on dust like other weapons either. Just mechanics.

Runs on dust?

If it ever shows up I'd love to see what makes it tick, if possible. I'd be gentle with it. I'm just curious.

Most things run on dust of some form. Itโ€™s a crystal and each one has different powers.

If youโ€™d like. I can show you how it works.
