Lina's dreamt about casting the Giga Slave - a spell that ends the world and brings it to chaos if miscast - and in her current dreams, has been taken over by the Lord of Nightmares, the ultimate power and source of all chaos in her universe. The spell went out of control and the affects of the Giga Slave gone wrong bleed over. This is not a very action-heavy plot, but will have severe (and mostly temporary) changes to Orange County's environment. It will seem like the world is...well, ending!

Day 1: Darkness descends upon the OC with black clouds blanketing the sky. No sunlight can penetrate it. The magically inclined population can sense something bad is approaching, like a strange sense of chaos, coldness, emptiness, all things related to abyss/oblivion. This can be in any form the player chooses for their characters (visions, divination, nosebleeds, etc).

Day 2-3: Storm-like effects happen. High winds, black lightning (but no rain), and the temperature becomes chilling. Still no sunlight, and some winds may be high enough to knock down trees/powerlines. Minor earthquakes in some places, and ocean waters become violent. Black energy (in the form of blasts and bolts) begins to visibly run rampant, causing some minor destruction. Lina's hair almost becomes completely blonde/gold as she is tied with the progress of what's happening.

Day 4-5: Inanimate objects and some standard locations begin disappearing. This can be parks, cars, buildings, trees - players can opt to lose some of their belongings (which will be returned after it's all over). Storm-like effects still happening. The media blows up about a possible rapture/end of times at hand. Lina realizes she's been holding the Lord of Nightmares within her this entire time and fesses up to the Agency.

Day 6: The skies open, the Sea of Chaos (which will appear like a massive black hole entering the atmosphere) shows up, Lord of Nightmares takes full control of Lina drags her back to chaos. Black energy running rampant increases drastically, possibly zapping citizens and causing more damage, the storm effects stronger than ever, comparable to a hurricane.

Day 7: The darkness leaves, the sun finally comes out, and everything that has disappeared comes back like it never left. Praise your chosen deities!

Most of the OC will stay in tact. All items that disappear will return on the 7th day.

Cover Up: Global Warming. It's a real thing.

For players that do opt in it’s encouraged that they opt some characters out. Characters who opt in know that something is not right, can witness the items disappearing/black energy.
