Especially if, say, the person who first became aware of its broken nature – or at least, the person who became aware of its broken nature and then disassembled it, presumably out of trying to fix it in this hypothetical exploration of the human psyche – attempted to fix it because s/he knew just how upset Mr. Greyson would be upon finding that it was broken... only to realize that the problem was far more than s/he could handle alone, and now the problem was even worse than it was before.
