Oh, I do my own research. I never visit a doctor without my own theories. But they really should tell you. So if you're getting general anesthetic, they have to put a tube into your throat to basically keep your lungs working while your unconscious. It's pretty standard, but the tube scrapes your throat up a bit. There's not a way to put it down gently. So when you wake up with a sore throat, that's totally normal. Just drink some ice water or juice and it'll go away in a day or two.
