I don't think the school office bought my forged note excusing me from school today. Apparently being kidnapped to a weird town with witches trying to suck the life out of kids isn't a believable reason to skip class.

Well, doctor appointments are the obvious ones but they start getting suspicious around the 5th one.

I've also tried to use the apocalypse. They definitely didn't buy that one.

Oh tell me they didn't actually ask why you had so many appointments.

The apocalypse is the best though because it happens to get averted regularly.

I think they wanted to ask but I'm not sure they can. I should ask my Uncle's lawyer friend about that.

It is. I didn't expect them to buy it but I wanted to see if they would.

I've also used the excuse that my dog needed to go to his modeling job. I don't even have a dog.

You definitely should. Because I don't they can but it doesn't always stop people.

Not sure whether to be sad they didn't or impressed that they didn't.

Sometimes I'm pretty sure they don't even read the notes. Or it was my luck that if they followed up about the notes, the folks I'm staying with don't really care and vouched for me.

I got to be more careful now that my uncle is in town.
